That is disconcerting, to say the least.

 

Service on a board of directors is a part time activity. Directors attend occasional board meetings and provide advice to management. It doesn't interfere with their normal career path.

Hilarious... sex is a state of mind according to these same people, but yet....

 

I don't see how that is possible when by far most seats can still be taken by the men,... like they have done so in the passed.

 

Simple solution... Have the men identify as women and fill the quotas accordingly. There, now there are enough women on the board. Ta da.

 

No. If a woman is hired and there was a man with better qualifications who was rejected, that's discrimination.

 

Discrimination is an act, not an end result.

 

When as good as all members of the board are as good as always male, means women are being discriminated. You're not going to convince anybody with the idea that males are superior to women. And hence,... this law.

Then audit their hiring practices. Don't make laws that discriminate to counter that. Such idiocy!

We tried your plan, and it ends up that the old mens club refuses to allow women in such a way that we need a law that they must allow at least 1.

 

No one says males are generally superior to women. But an individual male could be better than an individual woman.

If you've got a male with an outstanding resume against against a woman with a mediocre resume, and they select the woman, that's discrimination.

 

At the rate California is losing corporations, soon they will be recruiting the homeless for those positions.
