Also, the shredding of the Roe vs Wade decision has been moved to Wednesday, October 10th at 9:00 PM EST. and will be broadcast live on all networks nationally. After Kavanaugh shreds the 1973 ruling he will then set it on fire and dance around it while drinking a mixture of pigs blood and his favorite beer from a goblet fashioned from senator Ted Kennedy’s skull and yelling “suck on that bitches!!!”

I’ll be at a family event and will have to DVR it. Bummer.

We survived a situation where a political operative made up a disgusting story to block a Supreme Court nominee. The crisis has passed, and maybe this will discourage activists from doing this in the future.

 

Rawest sort of horse crap. NO she delayed it to the last moment because having read it she knew that if she introduced it last summer the investigation would be over in a month and Dr. Ford, having been found to be the victim of the sort of bad psychological practices that cause people to firmly believe they lived a previous life as an American girl doll in Boston, allowed to return home in anonymity. and Judge Kavanaugh would have been confirmed in September. That could not be allowed so the info was leaked and the file released at that last minute in a rather transparent attempt to delay the process until after the midterms. And please hold you ridiculous braying about conspiracy theories because you know as well as i do that no matter what Dr. Ford's wishes were those wishes were tactically a very distance second to the dems need to delay the confirmation process by any means necessary.

You sewed the wind with that vain attempt and you will now reap the whirl wind when you come up a few seats short of recapturing the house and and fall further behind in the senate.

 

He put up with a total load of BS because of good temperament. It takes a very good temperament to see past the kind of people and the gauntlet of garbage he had to deal with; most men would have told them to take the job and and shove it.

He didn't call Ford a liar- because he was aware that she probably believed what she claimed was true, the false memory syndrome. Unlike those on the other side, he never tried to tar and feather her- he was impartial is his own view and statement. If the position has been reversed and the democrats were opposing Ford, she would have been labeled the class slut or a crack whore- without any proof, of course.

The honesty thing comes from the left refusing to accept the facts- which were solidly behind Kavanaugh. It's the left that can't be honest, even with itself.

And Lee... dumps another load of it. Nothing new about that.

You should stop whining long enough to look at all the good things happening in America.
All-time low unemployment, including for the minority groups.
There are more open jobs looking for people than the total of people unemployed.
The number of people on food stamps has dropped by two million since Trump's election.
102 new records in the DOW stock charts in about the same number of weeks. Market value total gains around $8 Trillion bucks.
America regained the title of fastest growing economy on earth last week, China is overtaken.
America has unseated Saudi Arabia as the worlds top oil producer.
The last GDP rate came in at 4.2%, while the dems thought 3% was impossible.
And of course- he has appointed a lot of great judges, over a range of federal courts, now including SC justices Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.

And that... is the short-short list. The wins just keep on coming.
But, the losers just keep on whining.....

 

I think the biggest damage will backfire on the Democratic party.

They opened the floodgates for accusations, and cannot use the normal excuse, That's racist.

 

His temperament is absolutely not Judicial.

Regardless of anything else that is obvious given his partisan and entitled rants

A good article to read, written by the "hopeful" liberal media.

 

Left wing loonies are hysterical, right wing loonies are angry and vengeful. Hysterical, angry and vengeful is a bad way to reach a good conclusion on anything. This whole process was FUBAR from the outset to the conclusion. It was interesting that it was two women senators from opposite sides of the aisle were the ones to bring a semblance of sanity to the process. That tells me that corporate America is right, women make better CEO's. They know how to cut through the testosterone and compromise without feeling threatened.

One sees that every day right here. It's not a matter of Mars v. Venus. It's more like Neptune v. Pluto. Those of us that can still stay steadfastly in the center on Earth can only back away from the inevitable wreckage and cover our heads. I have hope for the mid-term elections because women and unsullied young people have arrived to the political arena in great numbers. They have already begun to sweep away some of the worst of us.

I wish Justice Kavanaugh well. I believe he will turn out just fine. Conservatives looking for a strict constructionist firebrand will be sorely disappointed. Liberals fearing their loss of liberties will never be at ease. Too bad. They created this firestorm so live in the flames. The rest of us will go mow the lawn.

 

The irony here is that there is not a member of congress on either side, nor a person among the accusers who have a better track record of proper performance and self-discipline than Kavanaugh.

The same person who slanders him maliciously will turn around and say his respectful denial of that slander is an "entitled rant"......

Kavanaugh has already received plenty of FBI scrutiny. Any investigation should have been conducted by the Bethesda Police Department, Maryland State Police, or some other law enforcement agency who could claim jurisdiction over the crime.

Mob rule doesn't stand in this country son.

Complain away though. The Supreme Court is ours for at least another decade.

And- Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is 85, and has been on the court for 25 years. In nearly every photo, she is hanging her head and appears to be asleep.
Long overdue for departure, one way or another. Stephen Bryer, next oldest, is 80. Then it's Clarence Thomas at 70.

I think Trump will have at least one more appointment to make this term, probably another in a second term.
The court will return to a constitutional foundation and stay that way for the foreseeable future.
Stability in law will be restored.

 

And I'd say they did a bang-up job of damaging themselves!
