I have to hand it to Trump.

This week, he as openly and honestly exposed the American govt's long tradition of hypocrisy and evil.

Throughout the 2nd half of the 20th century, we claimed to be all about Freedom and Human Rights and basic decency. But we constantly supported right-wing dictatorships and Fascist regimes. We supported authoritarian Middle Eastern regimes.

and why? usually money. Its all about money.

Human Rights be damned. Human decency be damned. We need that money.

And now Trump has clearly and with a loud voice, said he will NOT sanction Saudi Arabia in any way, even if turns out the brutal murder of the Turkish reporter was an official Saudi govt. action. He says it would be bad for American money.

So there it is folks: Money is King. Human Rights and Justice? nothing but garbage.

    American government hypocrisy exposed.

    Corker was spot on !!

Relations Committee Chairman Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) on Tuesday criticized the White House for acting like a “public relations firm” for Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman after President Trumpissued a statement defending U.S.-Saudi relations.

Trump has sold out the White House for a buck ................

How many Americans would be affected if Saudi Arabia starts messing with oil prices in retaliation?

Do you remember the oil problems under Carter?

Is the life of one guy whom they considered a terrorist worth that hardship to 300 million Americans?

Why did you not yell at Obama to stand up to Iran when they were, and still are, killing their own people?

You supported lifting sanctions and gave them billions of their money back.

    Why did you do that?

SA eliminates one threat, which by the way Obama did also by killing an American citizen with no trial, and you want to totally ostracize them.

    How stupid.

Money makes the world go round. Always has, always will.

Only idealists who believe unicorns and rainbows over logic dont understand this fact.

Doesn't matter what I say, if they thought he is then he was to them.

I don't believe the world has granted YOU the authority to dictate the definition of terrorism.

Obama claimed the guy he assassinated was a terrorist, I think he was just looking for his lost puppy when that Hellfire missile went up his ass.

Trump claims he's protecting Saudi Prince because they supply USA oil

Saudi supplies 9 % of USA oil needs

However he threatens Canada who provides 40 % of USA oil needs

Apparently Canada doesn't buy off Trump like the Saudis do

There are many ways the USA could sanction the Saudis without affecting the economy.

we could shut down some of their consulates.

we could send home much of their consulate staff.

we could withhold Visas from their leadership.

if the Saudis cut oil production as a way to punish us, THEY will suffer as their country depends on oil sales

the Saudis consider anyone who tries to gather a protest against govt. mistreatment of women, Gays or Shia, a "terrorist".

meanwhile they fund extremists mosques all over the world, spreading Jihadi Wahabbism.

If you pay attention. MBS was already leading an investigation on the killing. Isn't it ironic that you wanted Mueller to finish his Russian investigation despite some accusing him of being a Russian mole, but don't want MBS to finish his investigation because some accused him of being behind the killing?

cause they allowed international inspectors to monitor their nuclear facilities.

and they shut down and shipped away most of their nuclear centrifuges.

even the Israelis believe the Iranians were complying with the nuclear deal.

They are also an ally in a region where we have far bigger concerns.

I am truly sorry you don't appreciate the scope of international politics but sometimes you have to play bad for the greater good.

Its the way the world works if you want to be a player.

If you are willing to take a stand against every wrong committed in the world you will find yourself with zero influence anywhere which is most definitely not in the nations best interest.

    This is common sense man.

What does that have to do with them killing innocent people?

According to you guys we should have cut all ties with them on that fact alone, just like you want to do with Saudi Arabia.

You can't have it both ways.

    funding Islamists extremists in Syria?

    that makes them an ally?

ISIS would not exist if not for Saudi, Oman and UAE donations.

The US kills tons of people in questionable wars. Saudis kill one guy and Team America: World Police should jump into action? It's not our business.

What does America even stand for if we choose to totally ignore foreign nations killing members of the US press?

Let's remember that this affects EVERY American.

    Amen.

They're using our weapons to slaughter women and children in Africa.

Why are we supporting that. And, why are we ignoring their killing of a US citizen who is a member of the US press?

    That was the guy's job.

You could say that about anyone any foreign government kills.

"What does America stand for if we let this mechanic just die"?

    lol

The man actively went after a nation and started a war of his own, without consenting the US government about it.

If he had, and we approved, then sure, we should back him up.

This was his own personal vendetta and not our responsibility.

He was not doing it on behalf of the US, in fact, it was exactly disruptive to our international relations with that nation.
