The problem is in the mission of the WTO dispute settlement system. It is about getting along. My system has the advantage or being automatic. There is no 'dispute settlement'. We mirror our trading partner. It's on automatic. If they want to change our policy, all they need do is change theirs. They have 100% control.

What matters is what they do with this alleged knowledge. In both cases the evidence of their actions is that they learned little. But Howie Hawkins wants to set the record straight. “A lot of people think AOC thought it up,” he told me by phone Wednesday. “But I’m the original Green New Dealer.”

Hawkins, a 66-year-old Green Party member from New York, says he was the first American political candidate to run on the promise of a Green New Deal. During his run for governor in 2010, he proposed a plan to fight climate change “with the same urgency, speed, and commitment of resources that our country demonstrated in converting to war production for the mobilization for World War II.” To reduce New York’s carbon emissions to net zero over ten years, Hawkins’s plan would “devote resources to and create jobs in renewable energy, public transit and organic agriculture,” the New York Times reported. And those resources would come from progressive tax reform, including massive taxes on the rich.

I think it is healthy to discuss divergent viewpoints up until the people with a HS education shake their head realizing the "divergent viewpoint" is simply ignorance. Really. Do you want to hear the divergent views of Australian Aborigines on the reign of Napoleon or the meaning of the US Constitution? How about on the chance of life on other planets or the proper role of the Federal Reserve? That is what we are dealing with with AOC.

Sounds like her degree in economics came from a liberal university who is has decided that socialism solves all economic issues and teaches that as economics.
