While Bernie makes a case for a socialist revolution in The Guardian as part of his 2020 presidential campaign launch he is overlooking two key factors that will prevent his obtaining the Democratic Party nomination for president: 1. Too white 2. Too male Bernie talks the talk, and even has the outstanding Soviet Union-pandering credentials from the 1980s that American leftists love, but he's overlooking the Democratic Party's obsession with identity politics as well as the left's passion for intersectionalism. To make it successful they first had to convince minorities, women, Muslims, etc that they were victims. And not just run of the mill victims, but the victims of evil white males. I wouldn't worry about identity politics. Bernie Sanders has a lot going for him this time around. I was a Hillary voter last time around, and I didn't want Hillary to lose to Barry Sanders but now I'm more open to his ideas. If a lot of people are like me then Bernie Sanders has a good chance of winning the Democratic ticket.
