    How about "Hopefully the Iranians learned A lesson"? What is the finish you are proposing? I think we have always been committed to eliminate the threats we and region and the world face, will be until time eternal. It this makes some Iranians and especially Iranian leaders think twice before they promote violent terrorist attacks all for the better. If this further emboldens internal and external dissidents to stand up all for the better.

    He's not an active member of the military. Canada is not combat zone. Petraeus is not on the terrorist watch list nor supporting known terrorist groups.

    Sorry you believe Iran should just be able to attack with impunity killing Americans and others in their attempt to dominate the region, do you send them money in support or just do so verbally?

    These sumbichs in Iran chant 'death to America' and actually have a death to America holiday. Every once in a while they need to be reminded what their religion of peace gets them.

    I am sure there are 1000 rationalizations of why it is okay for the US to assassinate people in foreign countries to assert power and further American interests, while it is not okay for other countries to do the same. As I said, typical double standard.

    I don't think Iran should be able to kill people with impunity, neither should the US.

    This wasn't an assassination, it was a targeted strike on a terrorist who was actively attacking the US embassy.

    The real war, i.e., the overarching war, has been going on since 636 CE, i.e. since the battle of Marmouk.

    This incident (to me) totally illustrates the hypocrisy of the left and their [syndrome]. Obama sends the military into a nuclear armed Muslim country to kill Osama Bin Laden and it is a great and wonderful act by Obama. Trump kills an Iranian general in a country we are supporting with our military and it is the beginning of WWIII.

    What do liberals propose that Trump do: 1) nothing, let the Iranians continue to direct attacks on our embassy and US personnel and contractors; 2) allow our embassy to be invaded like liberal hero Jimmy Carter; 3) immediately flee Iraq and cede the country to Iran; or 4) send more pallets of cash to Iran like liberal hero Obama?

    Their president called for the parliament to accept this and tehy did. Their government will ratify it.

    You just lost all your investments you made there since 2003. Thats a mayor diplomatic victory for Iran.
