Well folks... The jury is in. This guy had a prior illegal gun possession charge, resisting arrest, theft, and was seen trespassing in a home prior to attacking someone in that community who confronted him. Case closed.

That’s not what the law says in Georgia :

“A private person may arrest an offender if the offense is committed in his presence or within his immediate knowledge. If the offense is a felony and the offender is escaping or attempting to escape, a private person may arrest him upon reasonable and probable grounds of suspicion.”

Trespassing in this case would be a misdemeanor and not a felony considering he did nothing and left.

They didn’t have immediate knowledge of a felony and had no right to make a citizen arrest. He’s just a guy who chased down and pointed a gun at someone else.
