The worst thing blacks ever did was accept the white liberal. The War on Poverty for 70 years has cursed the black family unit into an epidemic of fatherlessness and poverty. Sad to say it has made them permanent dependents. That dependency has caused crime and destitution all over the country.
Liberal America will never admit that fault because doing so would be an indictment on everything they stand for.
As far as racism goes that is tied to resentment. White people resent people who get a free pass. Or at least they should.

I can't but I can tell you that laws can't fix racism. Racism is in the hearts and minds of racists where laws don't go.

    I read this link.
As someone who believes that the US has institutionalized racism against whites, and believes affirmative action should be repealed, I can give you my perspective, if you are interested:
The crimes described in these articles are real crimes and there are laws on the books to deal with them. I fully support prosecution to fullest extend of the law for the actions described.
But these events don’t prove institutionalized racism against blacks. They prove that there are whackos out there who think it’s OK to vandalize or cause harm based on race. But there are also murderers who think it’s OK to murder. Those who break laws should be punished, period.

It doesn’t mean that every time a stupid cop kills a black guy that all whites are racist. It also doesn’t mean that a bad cop represents all cops or all whites or all republicans. It also doesn’t mean that those who point out that the police brutality is not a racism issue are all racists. Nor does it mean that everyone who doesn’t agree with your exact opinion of events are racists.
And before you label me Trumper - I voted for Hillary. ;)

Interesting. One, their first two beginning examples was a "random" break in, and the other was about a single neighbor with no specific quotes. Just chalking it up to racism.
This was funny when without evidence, the author goes to the negative idea that "its happening more, just not reported". Also, there have been a lot of FAKE hate crimes reported for attention, but we know where her bias leans.

Amazing that all the examples come from areas right next to liberal cities. And I didn't see any in the south. Now, I don't agree with any of the harassment, thanks for the story. No laws that say its ok to do what these single neighbors did, so again, this is a single person incident.

Right, they might get a grant from the federal government specifically to subsidize tuition for students from lower-income backgrounds, a significant proportion of which could be minorities. But that wasn't the assertion by Right is the way. It was that the school took 40% of the tuition paid by white students and used that to pay for minority students' tuition. Like I said, surely there's some budget docs from the school to back up that claim, but I won't hold my breath.

    I didn’t make that claim about 40%.
My observation was that white students with very similar incomes got next to nothing, while all other minority students, some even with higher income than mine, get everything - not just tuition, but also books, lunches, parking and everything in between.
Whites are discriminated against in this country. Legally. And at some point this must stop.
You can’t fight racism with racism.

No kidding. It's almost like I was responding to another poster, who I named in my post that you're quoting, and then you started to respond to me. It's weird when someone jumps into a separate set of responses and then acts like they're being asked to support someone else's claims.

So you knew every white person on campus, and they all got next to nothing? How did you have time to actually do your school work?

And as I mentioned way back, my experience differs significantly from yours. I seriously don't believe that whites are actually discriminated against. Rather, additional funds are made available to compensate for traditional discrimination against minorities, and I see some white folks complaining that they can't also get access to those funds. Any time someone wants to cite some actual evidence, like a budget or meeting notes or something, I'll be happy to see if this supposed discrimination actually exists.

Something I have observed frequently is that a number of folks in privileged class tend to see attempts to overcome equality as discrimination against them. It's fascinating.

There are no laws that will end racism. There will always be people who think the color of a person's skin defines who they are....these are Really Stupid People and they won't go away....They need a 'whipping boy", a scapegoat, because they know what human failures they are and need to denigrate others so they can feel superior..they think they're right because they were born white...

The left see the US as a racist country and the right sees the US as a country that has some racists in it. No law will ever stop racism. And, forced association just makes those feelings of resentment worse.

Every student's maximum amount of aid is the same. That's all aid, grants, loans, scholarships, etc. combined. Does not mean every person gets the same amount from the same sources, just that the maximum amount is constant.

That amount is set by the school each academic year. It's basically just figure designed to cover costs of living, books, tuition, etc.

This was back in the 60's...but no matter...why aren't all schools funded equally?

As far as I know people cannot vote money for the school in their neighborhood?? Education funding comes from federal, state and county governments and should be distributed equally between all schools...

Mike12, consider most of very thing you mention falls under a societal function served by the PURPOSE of free speech, which is abridged.

Small bedroom communities around major cities are often autonomous. And the majority of education money now and always comes from cities and towns in which the individual schools exist.

Put it this way within a 15 minute drive of where I sit right now are no less than 10 different school districts. The state of Oklahoma has 77 counties and over 600 school districts. The overwhelming majority of the funding in all of these districts comes from with in the districts themselves.

    Spot on!

Another problem is that with all of the welfare and preferential hiring practices successful blacks get questioned on whether they earned their positions or they were given a position based on race. I know many people of all races who worked their tails off and earned what they have, but the stigma is still there and they are dealing with that also.

Yeah, me and every white person I know. It's almost like any alleged racism against whites is a figment of the whiners' imaginations.

Egalitarianism is the practice you speak of. Or, equality at all costs which the left sees as a harmless tactic to gain votes. What these obstinate nuts don’t understand is that not only does it cause racial tension between the do’s and do not’s, it is dangerous.
Such as- when the Obama administration frowned upon the lack of blacks in the air traffic control field.
They saw fit to remove pilot experience, higher math requirements to “equalize” the playing field.

I mean doesn't the funding come from tax revenue? If there is less money then less to tax right?

I could be totally wrong though

How do you define privileged? Isn’t that the case though? If favoritism is shown to one group over another, the group not getting favored is being punished and have every right to see it that way. You are essentially punishing a whole race of people.
If the government favors one group over another is that fair? If that is the practice then that the ruling class gets to arbitrarily decide which pressure group gets advantages then it would be equally fair for it to turn the other way.

In this context, privileged basically means being a member of a class in control of the system, and benefiting from it in a way that those outside the class don't. Anyway, changing things to bring another class up to the level of your own isn't favoritism. I see no evidence of minorities actually being favored by the government. If you'd like to provide some, please include facts and links.
