4 million. 3% of the total vote. I’m fine with 3%, let’s keep it there.

My first vote ever was Absentee (Bush in 88, it has its rightful place. But it should be a small percent of the vote overall.

He just wants something that fits his narrative. Do not expect facts to sway him.

I just created a thread titled "Absentee Voting - HOW DO" and would advise everyone to read it and the link. Who knows some may learn to do some research before posting the same old mail-in voting dribble.

Professional? I never heard that word used in reference to Donald Trump. Not even his greatest cheerleaders ever called his demeanor, his temperament or his character 'professional'.

We are in for one very very long election. The only real winners from November 3 through January 20 will be sitting in offices all across this country specializing in election law.

The real losers are sitting in each secretary of state office, and each county election board. There are not enough pharmaceuticals in this country to treat their headaches and nerve disorders. They will be looking back nostalgically had discerning the angle of hanging chads.

When Trump loses the election in November, it won't matter one bit what he does.

OK. You don't like that adjective. Use any one you'd like. Do you SERIOUSLY think he would have to be dragged, kicking and screaming, from the premises if he loses? Again, I'm not a fan (of either side) but I doubt it will reach that point.

It's already been a long year of unprecedented events and worldwide pain. I can only imagine that others are exhausted with it all as I am.

It will depend on what his most devout of Senate supporters and RNC say. How long will the GOP tolerate and enable the interminable delays?

One could also say It will depend on what his most devout of Congress supporters and DNC say. How long will the DNC and MSM tolerate and enable the interminable delays?

But what 'lose' looks like will be tough to determine as long as several swing states are left dangling while court cases are being decided. If his challenges are based on practices used in say 5 states, and that goes the way Gore V Bush went....

I typically try not to speculate, but I would be SHOCKED if it reached that level of idiocy, if for no other reason than he has a wife and minor child. I can picture him leaving gracefully (or the Trump equivalent) and fighting about the validity later, but not making a scene about leaving the office.

The phrase “you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink” is a proverb that means you can provide someone with a great opportunity, but you can’t force them to take it if they don’t want to.

Since President Trump isn't going to lose this is all wishful thinking.

Congress still confirms the choice of the VP. One reason that Nixon chose Ford as his vice presidential nominee was that he knew the well liked Ford would have no problems being confirmed by the House and Senate (which he was, overwhelmingly).

There were 128,838,342 votes cast in the 2016 election....not sure how 30 million is 24% of that.

And Trump...and nobody...other then Al Gore in 2000, has an issue with absentee ballots.

How exactly are mail in ballots certified as being votes cast by the intended registered voter in the United States? Is each one checked against some sort of checklist?
