He said that only in your dreams. Nice false meme, though.

Agree, but you are just throwing cold rationality on an otherwise enjoyable fanciful meme.

Gore at least conceded defeat, right before taking it back of course. Clinton never did; couldn't even address her followers after the election.

I didn't follow the last election but looked this up. Unless this is edited, it looks like he did make that comment.

The original lying accusation said Trump would accept the election ONLY if he wins.

Hillary never conceded either. One of the reason it's almost three months between the election and the next pres being sworn in is so that we have plenty of time to sort out that rigamarole.

I'm not trying to be obtuse here, but that seems implied in his statement. Can you expound on why you think it's not?

And look at the person and (by extension) the party who asked the question, still have not accepted the results, after nearly 4 years. If anything, it's Democrats who are the ones with that issue. Good old "blame others for that which you do".

Someone saying he will accept the result if he wins is completely different from saying he will accept the result ONLY if he wins. That has been twisted to imply that Trump will not accept the results if he loses, which is not what he said or meant. It all stems from the Democrats making hay from the debate when Trump refused to commit to accepting the results before the election actually took place. Hillary so committed but then reneged in spades on that commitment.

The converse would be "I will not accept the results of the election if I don't win." which most certainly means the results will ONLY be accepted if the election is won.

I understand that each side wants to argue but I don't see how this is up for debate. I am just not understanding where it's getting twisted.

Will you bet $1000 that he said I will accept the result only if I win, which was your initial (before back tracking) assertion.
Your original (before back tracking) assertion was that Trump said he would accept the result ONLY if he wins. I will take your bet on that.

Saying I'll accept the result of the election if I win is totally different from saying I will accept the result only if I win. This all stems from the debate when Trump said he would not agree to accept any result before the election. Hillary clearly implied she would, and then of course did not.

Notwithstanding what Clinton did or didn't do...The word "if" places the condition by which the acceptance will be made. The word "only" doesn't alter the meaning.

By logic and common sense, saying I will accept the result if I win does not say I will not accept the result if I don't win.

If the margin is that close, it would be reasonable for either candidate to demand recounts and fraud investigations.

losing by 10 electoral votes is not reasonable grounds to demand a recount.

    losing by 400 votes, is.
