Pelosi says Biden shouldn't debate Trump: 'I wouldn't legitimize a conversation with him'

I also watched it on CSpan, and I thought it was a really flat speech.

Trump was really low-energy.

And, most of the time that they panned the crowd (at this Covid Super Spreader Event) 3/4 of the people were looking at their phones.

Trump's Speech was a Totally Boring, Repetitive, Overlong, Snoozefest.

Trump looked (and sounded) like he had just taken a handful of valium.

He was teetering down the stairs holding onto Melania (on one side and the guardrail on the other) for dear life.

He almost looked as bad as he did when descending the ramp at West Point.

Biden would crush Trump in a debate.

She comes off looking worried and defensive.

There are two ways to “win” a debate. One is for both sides to exchange warrants for their respective decisions and let the strength of the warrants make the arguments for or against the various positions and the other is to simply declare the opponent unworthy.

Pelosi has chosen the second as her go to. Seems intellectually lazy to me. She clearly doesn’t trust the US electorate to be smart enough to make good decisions on their own.

Speaker of the House is a position that requires a certain gravitas and Nancy is acting like an entitled wealthy 15 year old girl at a prep school. (Well she is wealthy at least)

The rage is concerning to me. I’m trying to figure out where it is coming from. It’s out of proportion to political differences.

 

Actually she provided good advice to Biden. If Biden goes head to head with trump in a debate he will be squashed.

Trump is par excellence at slinging mud and personal insults. Why would any sane person stand on the same stage as that grub? Trump engages in pathetic childish rhetoric, not policy. No-one can debate that. It is not possible. That just becomes Hyde Park soapbox bullshit, and one up man's ship. Who has the best insult? I'd back Trump on that. So, why would anyone bother with the arzehole?

 

~ Adolescent entitlement. These career political hacks are used to the "go along to get along" masquerade they put on for the audience. Trump does not play that game and does not care if he is liked by Capitol Hill. He actually works for the betterment of the U.S. citizens. They simply are not used to this defiance .

 

The US Democratic Party has been stalled on post 1960’s politics (after it stopped fighting civil rights and desiring segregation) which now mostly includes redistribution of wealth and sympathy for blacks during election years. Now there is a new crop of young people like AOC and Omar who are challenging the old guard on climate and social change. Omar is even challenging the Democrats on their stances within the Jewish community.

Biden will probably be the last old guard US Democratic President.

I'd rather him be insulting than people hiding behind a mask like other politicians. But hey, you encourage Biden to not show up for the debates. See how that works for ya come November. People like Joe Rogan, a staunch liberal already believe him to have some form of dementia. This will cement that belief and make others seriously consider it. The only ones that don't care if he does or not are NeverTrumpers who would vote against Trump just because they hate him so much and would vote for Satan himself just to be rid of him.

More and more people are #walkaway because they are seeing beyond the lies of Democrats. I watched one guy the other day say he started looking up information because all the Dems/Leftists do is say how bad Trump is and have NEVER said anything positive about him. He didn't believe that anyone could be that bad. And when he started looking at things for himself found the lies and walked away from the Dems and leftists. Even Hitler who is one of the most evil men in history had SOME good things that he strived for. Such as welfare for the poor and preserving animals. But to hear the media and leftists you'd think that Trump has NEVER done a bit of good his entire presidency. People see this and can't believe it. Because no one is that bad.

 

If you are a Democrat Obama never did anything wrong and Trump never did anything right.
If you’re a Republican reverse it.
I’ve challenged Democrats to give me examples of Obama’s mistakes and I’ve challenged Republicans to give me examples of Trump’s mistakes.

US politics is brand loyalty and everything is black and white.
Here, people seem to understand grey is the normal condition of life.

 

The Democrats have a good chance at taking the Senate and holding the House. That is one of the issues that makes this election so important.
