Why would trump exec order to make it easy to fire Civil Servants

    Your memory is short. Obama had the entirety of the govt yessing him and kissing his ass for 8yrs. And he had a MSM that treated him like a prophet.

    There are waaaaaay too many govt employees who should be out on their asses for what they pull. In the private sector they wouldn’t last a day.

    And his IRS going after political opponents, which was one of Nixon's articles of impeachment.

    Since I worked for VS Hospitals, I can tell you why. It takes an act of God to fire an employee not doing their job.! This was a good thing.

    Exactly what have you been doing the last 3 3/4 years?

    How many of your ilk have called for the firing of Fauci? For no reason other than doing his job and communicating actual scientific information to the public? Your brethren fired the chief scientist at NOAA for asking new Trump appointees to recognise the scientific integrity policy. Why would the chief scientist NOT ask that of any new employee and why would fire a person for doing due diligence?

    Remember back in February when trump declared the Covid Task Force meetings classified? Under this rule Trump could then have fired Fauci with no recourse.

    These people, 100% of them, take an oath to the Constitution. FYI, the oath:

    “I, ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.”

    Everyone from the VP to the guy scrubbing toilets at a forward base in Afghanistan takes the oath. There's nothing about "loyalty" to any person there. Which gets us to the flaw in your Trump support:

    If this EO is allowed to stand (and it is clearly in violation of civil service legislation) then
    Trump can declare a position to fall under the EO parameters for the sole purpose of firing the person occupying the slot
    Can you not see how this threat might impact a person's job performance? How a person might be influenced to take questionable actions under such a threat?

    If you can't see it, you really don't belong in the conversation.
