Do you believe that not allowing the spread of outright lies is nothing but "censorship"?
There's nothing wrong with voicing your own person opinions...
but deliberately spreading misinformation should be stopped and is not the same as censorship of opinion.

 

To me it was someone who understands the reality of actual life. You will in fact go to work the next day. You will live your life. You will love others. Whether or not you choose to be happy is obviously not guaranteed. I choose to be happy.

 

It's sad to see Trumpists have forgotten the goal is to strengthen America and its institutions, not troll fellow Americans.

 

They're not refusing to report on Democrats....it's just that Democrats are mostly boring...so there's nothing to report.

Russia has Rospotrebnadzor. They censor the internet to prevent the spread of disinformation. In Russia that agency gets to decide what Russian consumers get to see online.
Ask any Russian why they always re-elect Pootin and they’ll tell you - there is no one else to pick.
Oh, and Russia does have elections regularly.

Is that the kind of a democracy you want the US to have? Russia has “United Russia” party that monopolized their social media and mass media. We have Democratic Party that is literally doing the exact same thing!

That is correct. What we don't see: With all of our grievances, there are a majority of people on this planet who live happy everyday lives under political circumstances that are MUCH worse than what we have it in the US, no matter which party s in power.

What I expect governors to do (and most would do it): Locally shut down if covid gets out of control. Open up if control is regained. That's exactly what the leaders of my university did.
