To Impeach Trump or?? Consequences for Inciting Insurrection.

You have to wonder whether there will be enough Republicans still loyal to Trump to have him acquitted. But then you may want to ask yourself if there will be some Republicans that will join the Democrats to convict Trump at the impeachment trial? That would be a tough decision for us all to make.

 

In addition to supporting the impeachment and removal of Donald Trump, I am also preparing legislation that would prohibit any federal building or property from being named after President Donald J. Trump.
A Texas Congress Rep Joaqion Castro tweeted this and I'd like to go along with it. The Donald J. Trump name should not be on any United States Federal Building period.

1. He actually said "Peacefully and patriotically"
2. He actually told them to make their voices heard.

Is it possible Trump could go too far and end up getting convicted? He will definitely damaged the Republican brand with moderates if he pushes the "stolen election" nonsense as his defense.

House impeachment managers said that they were on solid constitutional ground in seeking to convict Donald Trump of incitement of insurrection ahead of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, as the former president prepared to argue that it was unconstitutional for the Senate to use the impeachment process to convict an official who has left office.

These managers may be guaranteeing a conviction of Trump. Whether they're successful remains to be seen.

 

If you can understand why Donald Trump was not a good President like all others were, You can understand some of the reasons. Trump wanted to undo what Obama did and you might know what they are. One of the things that irritates me about Trump was that soldiers that were killed in action during the wars were losers, He even refered those missing in action and Prisoners of war losers even John McCain. Another thing that irritates me and the Coronavirus pandemic. Trump said that those that caught it would get better next week or something like that. He even called COVID 19 a fraud. Now we know that no other President would say something like that. Look up some of the other things he accused of and see if it irritates you like it does me. You'll feel my pain.

In a nutshell, Trump's fascistic opponents would have us believe that lawfully exercising your First Amendment rights is some sort of crime in this country...

Trump et.al spent nearly two hours screaming having to fight to save america after spending the previous two months screaming about how he and his followers were robbed by evil leftists, RINOs and the deep state and after inviting the frenzied mob to join him in the march to the capitol, he has ONE THROW AWAY LINE about "doing it peacefully". Yep very compelling admonition.

And as for the hitler comparison, its valid, considering Donnie Peachs has been using significant chunks of Addie's playbook. To dismiss this fact in self righteous indignation merely highlights how ridiculous self censoring knowledge can be.

Don't forget that Sen. Maconnell is the grand master of Senate politics. From what the Senator said after the insurrection and his recent condemnation of Crongresswomen Greene (this "cancer" must be cut from the GOP), it would be possible he can see impeachment as a way to rid the GOP of the loser and Trump's garbage politics that poisons the GOP. Trump is bad for America's brand. Presidents come and go. But Senators can last for decades and Maconnell knows the long term trajectory of America is decided in the Senate. Of the 28 red senators not facing reelection in 2022, I think Maconnell can find and jawbone 12 good souls to vote yes guilty for conviction; and when added to the five already committed plus fifty Dems equals the 67 needed to convict. Trump crossed a turf red line when he desecrated the Congress and Senate. That's hallowed ground in Maconnell's view and he might tolerate a fool anywhere except on his turf. I think the Senator will act to convict Trump of insurrection.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of you guys reacting with humor over the response from the Right to this travesty that occurred on 11/3/4. At some point, this whole system is going down if elections cannot be trusted. And here's the part you folks overlook... it doesn't MATTER if you don't believe cheating occurred. It DOES matter a great deal when roughly half the electorate feel they've been disenfranchised and all it would require to appease MOST of them would be a simple, independent audit of paper ballots AND machines in the states where the funky numbers occurred. NO ONE was willing to even look at it. The idiocy that occurred in Atlanta was embarrassing to any person with an IQ above room temperature. All the hell they did was recount the SAME ballots with the SAME poll workers that did it originally.
No, I think if this happens again, anything even resembling how this was done, a lot of people who are nursing a cold rage now won't be cold the next time.

That the democrats are pursuing his impeachment even though he is no longer President and cannot be removed and have removed the Chief Justice as the overseer shows what a kangeroo court this is becoming. Wouldn't surprise me if they decide to make this secret ballot and declare Trump guilty 99-1 without ever saying who the 1 was so nobody could prove theirs wasn't the only 1.
