NY Gov. Cuomo's Problems Getting Worse??

I don't know how much backing he has with the people of New York but it could be possible he thinks he can hold his ground and nobody will do anything about having him removed. Trump survived two impeachments. This case will set a precedent for other governors that dropped the ball on COVID. It's getting messy for sure.

 

It is entirely different one is in the workplace and a government workplace at that with a government official and a subordinate employees where sexual harassment laws are in effect and one isn't.

I heard on the radio that one of the Cuomo accusers spent 4 hours with investigators today.

Looks like a New York City Bar owner is saying that Governor Cuome ought to be put in Jail over the Coronavirus rules. I suppose the girls that claim that Cuome sexually harassed feel the same way. He won't be the only Governor that went to jail.

If there are confirmed allegations of what Cuomo is accused of, Cuomo should resign and Biden says this as well. Cuomo is going to have to throw in the towel and get out. There is no other way out. Cuomo will be put in a situation if what he's accused of is true and it might be the case.

 

Trump survived two impeachments because he had some loyal Republicans that could save him. I don't what chance Cuomo has in his situation that he has. Trump had it better than Cuomo does now.

I didn't really understand the outcry from conservatives when Cuomo won an Emmy. I mean, Emmys are for actors, right? Glorified liars? So, of course, it was right that he win one. But, he should have been embarrassed about it, rather than proud.

I don't have much faith in our so-called justice system any longer, especially at the Federal level but if the Feds decide they must go after someone based on evidence that those numbers were falsified, I don't see any of Cuomo's staff to be willing to go to prison for him. Truthfully, I can't figure why anyone is going after him anyway. Politicians tend to have lots of "insurance" policies based on shared knowledge of corruption and Dems are especially well-known for this.

 

For someone who seems to be really dialed in on the government, when did you begin believing that Americans had to prove their innocence rather than the accuser proving their crimes? Prosecutors, until Trump, either charged a person or refused to do so and that was the end of the matter. Your hate for the Orange Menace aside, surely you can grasp what that kind of precedent will mean for our liberty?

Well, in their defense, it's only very recently that those rules are applied even to Democrats. IMO, Cuomo's one generation removed being mafia scum and he's in love with himself, just like most politicians who perceive themselves as untouchable.

Kavanaugh wasn't on trial for his freedom. He was up for a prestigious job. Big difference.

Trump is a demagogue and "false prophet" who said he wanted to help everyday folks and then turned around and gave 85% of the tax cut to rich people (when he promised he wouldn't), and then tried to take away healthcare premium protection for preexisting conditions. If we had done even as well as Canada fighting covid, there would be 200,000 dead Americans, not more than half a million. I think Trump is responsible for a lot of the extra 300,000 deaths. Yeah, I don't like the guy. I'll leave the hatred to you. Maybe you're projecting.

We have been abusing the confirmation process forever, so Kavanaugh's experience is nothing new. No precedent, just more of the same.

 

"Sanctuary cities" are a matter of a state's right not spend resources enforcing federal law. Southern states in the Jim Crow era were themselves violating the law.

Republican-controlled states have every right, legal and moral, to do the same thing.

 

Are there those out there that if Cuomo want respect of the people, he should resign and if not he may have to accept the conesequences if there are any.

if the media is instructed by the DNC to not report it, then it doesn't exist; right???? This story and investigation will soon go away but remember, a US Rep said some strange things and we need a motion by Democrats to have her removed. Or, the former POTUS withheld funding and was impeached for it.........oh wait, he never did that. OK, the former POTUS had girls go pee pee on a hotel bed and he and his associates were investigated for years, and the media reported on it.............oh wait, that never happened either but we heard about it for years.
