When I said appreciate, it was not appreciating what you claim above. CO has had its share of mass killings. Would you appreciate your staff at the restaurant being armed? Every armed waitress has undergone very good training.

That restaurant is obviously far safer than any "Gun Free Zone".

Most American men now expect their wives to bring home a pay check and be able to shoot straight whenever they need to do that.

Actions speak louder than words. Democrats turn their cities into excrement strewn homeless encampments with open drug use, harassment of passerbys and non-enforcement of shoplifting.

Ah. So this is just your opinion.
You could have just said that instead of making a dishonest declarative statement.

Oh my. You do have a distorted view of Americans, and men in general.

While John Wayne was entertaining in his day, most people who carry don't 'strut' or emphasize that they are carrying.

Your portrayal of women.... I don't know where to start on that one.... I'll try later after I stop laughing....

Which is why I asked if they could source their claims. Saying someone wants something does not read as an opinion but rather as a statement of fact with some rational basis behind it.

    It's called a gimmick. Don't like it, don't go.

You are letting yourself get sucked into the idea that Americans all have a fetish about guns. Just because someone owns them, doesn't mean they stay up late at night fondling it, cleaning it with a rag while they whisper sweet words to it. It's a tool.

The rational basis is observing the Democrat's actions and observing the results. The GINI coefficient of California exceeds that of Mexico. It is ruled by one party. It suffers frequent power outages

California already is a third world country.

You are correct that California’s is higher as Mexico has a GINI of 0.777 [source] while California has a GINI of .4880 [source] but when you see that California has some of the highest incomes in the United States in some cities this is understandable, New York also has this problem. The very red states of Louisiana (which is lower than CA in GINI) and MS (which is lower by some metrics [source] should not have this issue as they have such low income earners. Strange how you left them out seeing that they are more of a third world (according to your own metrics). Guess it damaged your narrative.

Also, First, Second and Third world countries really have nothing to do with economic status and more to do with who aligned with whom during the Cold War.

I will argue Louisiana is more of a Developing state vs California / New York looking at standard of living though if you want to go that route.

The guns themselves make no difference to me. Might even be a bonus with the whole gimmick and the themed menu. But I don't want to hear about gun politics throughout my entire meal, which is something I would worry about. And I'm generally not going to actively give pro-Trump establishments my business if they are one of those. Otherwise, my only consideration would be how good their food is. I'm picky about my burgers, but even if I didn't like those, I might be interested if the appetizers are good. Nothing wrong with appetizers and a couple of beers.

Would you eat at a restaurant where the workers are armed?
A decade of life in Maine re-enforced an impression about firearms I formed early. Responsible people with firearms are not dangerous.
Obviously, for me, seeing a group in America that was clearly Americans sitting around peacefully together while also accompanied by firearms would not be more fear inducing than if they all had corkscrews.
If I walked into a dinner in Colorado or Montana or Maine and they all sported a hog's leg, we'd probably start comparing tall stories involving how my .357 was more accurate and reliable than their piece.
Also, I would feel very safe.

    Very true.

We could go for hours this way, but if you know people who strut about with their gun on their hip, then they are twits, and definitely not the majority of the average American who carries. You could meet me in the street, and never know if I was carrying.

That about 90% of the gun-toting U.S. population.

I beg to differ. 90% is a majority.
