I am not protected from death. I will almost certainly die from an hideous painful disease like cancer or heart disease. If you want to live in a country that outlaws guns, you should move to one. I do not want to live in a country where the elites have 24/7 armed guards and have nothing to fear from the disarmed populace. There is a reason that the elites never stop coming for our weapons and it has not a thing to do with reducing gun violence. Currently the same elites that moan about gun violence are letting untold thousands illegal aliens FROM THE MOST VIOLENT COUNTRIES ON EARTH to flow over our unprotected border in unprecedented numbers.

 

I already live in one. It’s called Australia. And the “elites” didn’t take our guns away. We (mostly) gladly gave them up. And when our conservative Prime Minister introduced the gun controls that we have enjoyed for the last 25 years, they were met with general approval by the public. The exceptions were the ‘big boys with toys’ types who forecast that the world would end if they couldn’t have their guns.

It is actually. Of those 'every day' mass shootings, the vast bulk are gang related in urban areas. Care to take a guess why we don't have gangs, shootings or violent crime in general where I live?

Know what's funny? During the Trump years we rarely heard about any mass shootings. Now, under Biden we've had what...6? Mass shootings in the U.S. in 2021 (nbcnews.com) Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about total mass shootings. I'm just talking about the ones being mass displayed in the media. You know, the ones that the whole nation hears about and talks about for at least a week? I can remember about 4 (I think) from when Trump was in office. And now? There's already been 6 I've heard about since this year started. I guess it could just be fuzzy memory, I don't have the best memory after all. Without looking how many can you all remember, just off the top of your head?

I actually do live in a pretty poor area. Its just that its rural and everyone here has guns. We've had one shooting in the 10 years I've lived here, and it was an out-of-towner (illegal alien, actually) that decided to start shooting at our local cops.

You do not remember the church shooting in Tx or Parkland or the synagogue in Penn, or the high school in Texas or WalMart in Texas or the one in Oakland or the one in Ohio (Cinci I think) or the one in Virginia beach, and let us not forget Las Vegas. There is a reason Trump banned bump stocks illegally with an EO.

If I remember correctly 2019 was the deadliest year in this country's history for mass shootings.
