It is also not surprising that President Trump get the highest marks from poorly educated Americans. And this is the reason President Trump loves them:

Oh like how Obama was going to rule like a dictator using executive orders when in reality many presidents have issued more EO than him. Also Trump issued only 50 less than him despite serving only one term.

The Americans of that time were therefore very lucky not to suffer more from his presidency.

LOL, who you calling poorly educated? Evidently the ‘poorly educated’ can’t be intelligent. Only highly educated liberals indoctrinated in liberal schools can be intelligent even though they can pass at C level because they passed a test but have no common sense.

    Your elitism is showing.

Yet the ‘constitutional scholar’ said he couldn’t do what he did with DACA constitutionally for 1 1/2 years before he did it.

To me, it was going to take a while for the economy to recover from what Obama routinely called the 'second greatest crisis since the Great Depression'. And the jobless economy as recent as 2011. So the fact that the recovery held steady until COVID is a positive, not a negative on the prior administration IMO.

And banning drilling isn't the same thing as moving towards the post-oil future. All that did was put a bandaid, where's the post-oil future they bragged about? They're making some progress, but nowhere near enough for me to say to unearth an entire industry and energy supply for the US.

Trump administration aside. I actually do agree with Southerners and their interpretation of the civil war. I consider Lincoln an aggressor, and that because of his actions, pre-COVID that was the greatest tragedy in American history. As tragic as him being ranked the #1st president. He's only there because of the empanication, not due to his actions as President.

Were Lincoln in todays' times, the UN would call Lincoln a war criminal for refusing to negotiate with the confederates and launching the war.

Most of Trump's were to get rid of an Obama order.

So you believe QE, massive monetary injections along with unfunded tax cuts during a good economy while launching multiple trade wars is a positive?
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/busi...ion-into-us-economy-its-just-getting-started/

    I disagree

There is a difference in ‘unearthing an entire industry’ and hiring oil lobbyists as key environmental cabinet members to cut protections in the name of profit.

    I agree

Nixon actually did some good. Like environmental protection. And when asked to go, he left without objection.

Oh he fussed a little bit. He ended the war and he opened China regardless of the buyers remorse we are now suffering. Then we got this impeachment thing going with every President. I always figured Clinton was revenge for Nixon's resignation. And so on and so on......

In case you haven’t noticed, the US is fast losing ground to the Chinese. Over the past forty years China has been investing heavily in their infrastructure, in R&D, and in education. In highly technical products, Chinese companies are putting American products to shame. In the same time period, Republicanism has led to reduced educational funding and the slow death of R&D in America as ever more taxes are cut for the wealthiest. The Trump tried tariffs but the trade imbalance, in China’s favor, has only grown.

It is why the Oregon, Washington, and Colorado economies tend to perform much better than the rest of the country. They have embraced the need for innovation, a very liberal trait.

China has become the world leader in the manufacture of windmills and solar panels. Most buildings have solar panels on their roof. The new cities that they are building are models of green buildings and landscapes. Over the past 40 years, China has lifted 800,000,000 people out of poverty. While Reaganomics has failed to raise any boats that were not already raised.

I am quite certain that the Ogallala Aguafer is more important to the quality of life of the people in the central US than oil.

I think that's still too high for Trump. Just watch him fall like a rock as soon as more and more of the crimes he committed as President are revealed.

Biden undid the Trump presidency with a couple dozen executive orders, his first week in office. Not much to do as the Trump did little more that spout silliness and go golfing. A “sport” it played almost daily yet had to cheat to win at.

I agree. Sure, in the short term, there will be books of paradise and the usual suspects will continue to tell us how great it was. But once one takes an impassioned look, by one who is not currently alive, I have difficulty believing that any credible scholar is going to say anything to put the Trump in a favorable light. But then, I do have a book on the presidents from Washington to Clinton. Every one of the articles is glowing, as if every president was great.

5 years, millions of taxpayer dollars and so far someone in the Trump company is charged with unpaid taxes for a few perks. Stellar record.

Why do you keep saying 5 years? This investigation began in 2018.

Funny how a democrat congress critter sleeping with a Chinese spy isn’t news but someone in the Trump organization that did not pay taxes on a parking perk is.

Probably 6 years since the swamp started spying on Trump before he became President.

Lol. Wrong thread. Thought this was the Trump Org. thread. Doesn't matter. Don't know what your point is. Mueller was the only non-political investigation and that lasted a couple years. Contrary to Trump's lies, he wasn't exonerated. Now his company is indicted. So, I really don't know what you're talking about.
