This is getting old. Who's right and wrong here? Will the officers lose their jobs:

I already cannot take the “black feminist “ whatever seriously.

why is a feminist worried about what happens to men?

Would you believe the local news?

    https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-ne...fficer-serving-arrest-warrant-in-the-hilltop/

I watched in the video and the officer who shot the boy did not follow protocol. When entering the room, he needs to identify himself as an officer and command the hands to be up. The suspect was anticipating the officer's command, and as a result, was shot. Personally, I don't see charges, but a lawsuit will be coming. The reseaon why no charges, reasonable doubt and extreme deference to police officers.

Oh please, stop with the theatrics, a 20 year old isn't a boy. Besides, this is just going to be a call to arms for bLM and antifa to start their rioting as the election gets closer.

They certainly made sure to get the cop’s name in that story, didn’t they? Sometimes names are real hard to come by.

Not buying the local news. Especially not buying it when they call him a victim before finishing the investigation.
You’re right there’s always a suit when some people with felony warrants get shot.

I read the article on CNN so of course its in favor of the "victim".
If you watch the video it does look like the cop shoots the second the door opens.
This death seems unnecessary and I'm not blaming the cop, but come on, we are better than this!
I'm surprised there is not a procedure for this scenario like tell the person to put their hands under the door so you know they aren't holding a weapon.
Or maybe even throw a smoke bomb through the bedroom window, i mean, this guy really didn't need to die but how did the cop know if he was holding or not holding a gun.
In 2022 there should be procedures on how to handle people that are in a room behind a closed door.

Sounds like the cop was wrong, subject to further information.

I guess he should have gone to court on his Felony Warrant for Domestic abuse and he could have avoided being shot to death, but more importantly, I had Steak and Eggs for Breakfast this morning.

So all potential felonies are now deserving of immediate execution without trial? That's insane.

"Put your hands where I can see them" bang bang "He made a sudden movement!!" In a lot of these arrest videos you will see suspects getting conflicting commands from officers. I sometimes think that probably isn't by coincidence. In this case, however, ONE SECOND. I mean I wouldn't even be able to get raised up out of bed in 1 second.

Can't tell much from the video but they did announce as "Police then yelled inside to warn anyone inside they were releasing a K9, with no response." Also "Police said Anderson shot Lewis while he was wrangling the K9." Hard to tell from that statement but it sounds like the police officer shot while he was in the process of trying to control the dog. That sounds like a really bad idea to try and handle both simultaneously. Does not look good.

Actually it is extremely rare in correlation with the huge number of armed arrests officers have to make every day.

That wasn't part of the story, it was a link to a separate article. It looks like it got caught up in the OP copy-and-paste.

Let's just say I won't be shedding any tears for his passing and since I'm not a fugitive from justice, I'll sleep comfortably in my King sized Sleep Number bed without fear of the Popo kicking down my bedroom door to arrest me. Forgot to mention I had low pulp Orange juice with my Steak and Eggs this morning.

I guess some of us think that lethal force should be lawful and reasonable. I'm sorry you disagree.

Sure but why is it so hard for society to not call the bad calls a bad call? I mean I would never want that job even if it paid a quarter million a year, but is it really as necessary to do what they are doing? I mean odds are if you have papers out on you, our local cops are not likely to be barging in with K-9's. They'll wait until they get you outside in a traffic stop or hide at the back door and tackle you when the others are knocking at the front even if that takes 5 visits to flush you out. The only time you see that heavy handed stuff is when there is an active shooting or the fed-state-local task force is in town to try to execute 100 warrants in 72 hours.

No need to be sorry, I'm just not a fan of criminals and a lot of them Reap what they Sow. Had Donovan Lewis been a law abiding citizen, chances are pretty good he'd be alive today. Too many cops get shot and killed trying to arrest these creeps, so I don't blame them for being a wee bit trigger happy when a known criminal makes split second movements that are difficult to decipher.

Yeah, that could have been worded better. What I'm trying to say is, how do you know he doesn't have a gun. The door takes less than a second to swing open. And didn't the warrant itself have to do with a WEAPON in the first place? Like I said, POOR PROCEDURE, this could have been done much better.
