If your family came through ELIS island, there wasn't any real process they had to go through. It's a joke when people claim their family did it the right way, when they came during a time when the "right way" was to just show up.

 

Its a misconception that all you had to do was just show up at Ellis Island. Ellis Island actually has a nickname. Island of Hope and Tears. Know why? Because while many were allowed into the US from Ellis Island...many were also turned away and sent back. Often tearing families apart in the process. You should read up on it.

 

What a load. The amount of illegal aliens he's sent to sanctuary states/cities is a drop in an ocean. You can just as easily argue that him sending those illegal aliens away saved their lives.

 

How does that apply to migrants that come here seeking asylum and are granted entry while their cases are heard in court?

The original criticism was that the migrants mentioned in the OP were illegal immigrants and I proved that to be untrue. These people came here in droves and the Biden administration allowed them entry while the courts consider their cases. What is illegal about that?

Just because Biden is granting them entry does not mean that they are coming here legally. Asylum can only be claimed at ports of entry and embassies. Biden is granting ANYONE that comes here, no matter how they try to get into the US the ability to claim asylum. Additionally there must not be a safe country for between the origination point and the US. Mexico has agreed to take and protect asylum seekers, which makes it a safe country. (and many migrants have taken them up on the offer) So anyone that has to enter Mexico to get to the US should be applying for asylum there, as per the agreement that we have with the UN dictates.

Biden is not following the law. He's using the excuse of not having the resources to fully enforce the law. Which of course is BS. Its costing the US more resources to take care of these illegals, than it does to just turn them away at the border. Something that we used to do.

There is no way that a person living in Guatemala can come to live in the US legally unless they already have family here.

 

There are many ways to come to the US legally outside of family. Millions across the world do it every year. What makes you think Guatemala is different?

 

What does any of what you said have to do with the OP?

Stay on topic. This is not a discussion about what Biden is doing but about the fact that there was a hurricane that ripped through Florida and help is needed in droves and there is none to be had other than asylum seekers that DeSantis has sent to other States. In addition, the OP is about the fact that it is the migrants that are stepping up to help. Without them, Florida would be up a creek trying to clean up and restore the damage.
