Target reversed course Thursday and agreed to stock conservative radio host Mark Levin’s forthcoming book, The Democrat Party Hates America, after criticism and outage over the chain store’s apparent hypocrisy.

Levin made the announcement on his Thursday evening radio show, after informing listeners the night before that Target had told his publisher, Simon & Schuster, that it would not stock the book because of its title...

Conservatives were outraged over the store’s apparent willingness to stock items that pushed a left-wing agenda while banning a book from its shelves that reflected a conservative view…

…After Breitbart News and others reported that Target had decided not to display Levin’s book, the store came under pressure from conservatives who vowed that they would boycott the store, prompting it to change course.

Levin thanked and congratulated his audience Thursday on his radio show, noting they had acted on their own volition, without any organized boycott effort: “We have a massive audience, an enormously loyal audience…

    …“Enough is enough…

It’s good that people are standing up to woke corporate America. It’s proper that the hypocrisy of carrying stuff leftists want while canceling conservatives product is being called out. Thank goodness conservatives are fighting back.

Mark Levin is right. It is rare for a book title to be so perfectly true. This news report on news regarding the marketplace, corporate woke censorship, and the public response to it is good news.

I see you found your favorite scandal plagued RINO. He’s been wrong about a great many things for a long time. Levin is a former Reagan administration official and a lawyer. His is a news talk show, nothing comedy about him. He’s not what Rush Limbaugh was in the use of humor. He however could not possibly be more accurate about the truth of anything that he is regarding the title of his book Target wanted to cancel. In my opinion he nailed it and is spot on about them.

The right need to keep on standing up for themselves very strongly and not put up with left wing woke crap. It was ridiculous that Target could sell coloring books to children depicting homosexuality and then turn around and ban books like this.

It’s the opposite of true. A more accurate book would be, “The Republican Party Hates Anaerica”.

They are probably dreading getting into this whole mess now. No one is ever going to be happy now.

As a generalization, I feel like woke corporate america is more for designer socks and other high priced items (Patagonia, etc.). More value-based products/retailers should be careful. Bud Light and Target both point to that. I'm not a political pundit, but that's what I notice.

Exactly. That’s the hypocrisy that was being called out here. It’s nice to see conservatives standing up for ourselves and not just taking it anymore.

Yep, by all means. They whip out the race card all the time. Playing it back for once would be good payback.

Target never did “get in the middle”…The right wing “freedom party” went after them for having rainbow colored clothes…..

The right in this country is literally protesting free speech, and free enterprise because they are homophobic. The right in this country has erased 40 years of growth and acceptance in America, including that of free enterprise.

The right spent the last 2 years protesting Target corporation over rainbow clothes and that they needed to stop selling them, and how they needed to remove them because of what it “represented”, and now they are screaming because they might remove something……

Cant make this crap up with a team of writers.

Great!!! I'm not for book banning of any kind.

Let's see what kind of retail sales (remember, the RNC doesn't bulk purchase from Target) this fascist trash does.

    Keep us posted!

Just don't go crying into your Bud Light if the display is removed after a reasonable time for books that might actually cause purchases...

Target is trying hard to be the White people's WalMart. Why do you think they even have a book section to begin with?

One is inclusive and the other is divisive

Doesn’t take much for someone with more than two brain cells to rub together to figure out.

I guess the choice is sell coloring books to children depicting homosexuality or sell books written by severely closeted homosexuals.

At least somebody will have fun with one of them...

I disagree it's similar. Imagine if the title were "Jews hate America." or "Blacks hate America" or "Trump supporters hate America." The title is inflammatory and divisive and is meant to stoke hatred or contempt for a group the author dislikes. As opposed to what, accepting people who are different? Sounds like the exact opposite, and it's a sad reflection on conservative politics. Either way though, at the end of the day, Target needs to do what helps its bottom line. Being boycotted by dumbasses is not ideal for them.

I think it is extremely foolish to pander to a demographic that has been outright lying about their stores to attack their brand and their employees.

They are doing the inverse of what Budweiser did and will end up costing themselves both audiences, one that they never had and one that was loyal to them.

That's what leads me to believe that Target didn't "cave" here, as claimed.. after all, all we have is one RW liar making the claim Target refused to stock his book in the first place.

If Target thought they could make enough income to justify the display space, they'd put Mein Kampf out for sale (same topic, different author)

It’s ironic you are posting this seeing that red states are now threatening Target over lies regurgitated by the extreme right.

Republicans have discovered that businesses will negotiate with self proclaimed domestic terrorists and bend to their will. Let’s see which democratic holds the most financial sway.

You do realize people have the right to protest and boycott businesses which promote values that don't align?

    That's ALSO freedom of speech.

You find the LGBTQ agenda inclusive and valuable, I don't really care either way as a Libertarian. I think it's a silly thing for activists to defend a literally nobody gave a care until the activists needed to find something to shove down everybody's throat and cry victim when people object to the force feeding.

However, some people took exception to promotion transgenderism in children, like tuck friendly clothing in the children's section, and this I agree with.

20 years of progress? Progress for what? Who really started the divisiveness?
