It's not hard to see a link between a devoted Christian who posts his Christian things together with his hate about the LGBTQ+. The biblical texts do preach violence against the LGBTQ+. Is that new to you? And this Christian did make his anti LGBTQ+ opinion known right before he executed that 66 year old woman over that flag.

Nah, "hate speech" is an emotional reaction and term derived to attempt to limit free speech.

You do realize that people in this country a FREE to hate other people for any number of reasons. Right?

This thread is like an exhibition of conservative talking points whenever a crime happens involving one of their clan:

*Deny the reason for the crime, even if the criminal AND witnesses confirm it;

*Make sure people know this is about an INDIVIDUAL, because assigning blame to groups is only permitted when designated 'bad' minorities like blacks and 'illegals' commit a crime;

*Blame it on 'mental illness', because when conservatives commit a crime based on their conservative ideas it must be disconnected from those ideas. While I'm prepared to accept that most of what modern American conservatism champions does qualify as a form of mental illness, people knowingly push this hate on a daily basis, so no getting off the hook there.

*Blame the victim - an oldie but a goodie.

He supported Donald Trump in 2016 but became far more devoted to a Christian nationalist worldview driven by antisemitic conspiracy theory culture.


In a personal GoFundMe campaign from 2019, Ikeguchi talked about his estranged father being a police officer. Public records indicate that Ikeguchi's father was at one time a Florida Highway Patrol officer. Ikeguchi started attacking police departments online for making Pride posts on Twitter/X. In 2022, he shared a video on Gab about wanting to shoot police officers— which is what he died doing.


Ikeguchi fatally shot Laura Ann Carleton, a loving wife and mother of nine, for having a Pride flag in support of LGBTQ+ rights at her clothing store Mag.Pi in Cedar Glen, California (two hours east of Los Angeles). He spouted anti-LGBTQ+ slurs and hate speech during the incident— as he regularly did on social media. After fleeing the scene of the murder, he was confronted and killed by police in a shootout.

Ikeguchi also "made several disparaging remarks" about the Pride flag hanging outside Carleton's clothing shop, Mag.Pi, before shooting Carleton, the Sheriff's Department said in a press release.
