I imagine the same thing you do with a kid who doesn't show a base level of respect for any other person.

Because kids come to school with disruptive agendas they don't leave at their locker.

Talk to them about the problem. The other option is to send the kid to the office, and the office to send the kid home.

Don't quote anything regarding Canada on such subjects.

    I'll reject it on principle.

I'm still not sure what that has to do with making lgbtq issues something that should be discussed in school with students who have nothing to do with that and want nothing to do with it.

Be a good little drone, is what you are saying. Don't put any of yourself into the job. Be a boring ass teacher who doesn't inspire anyone.

Langley - DO NOT let this guy tell you what to do.

Okay, so lets take your position and place the student with a devout, bible beating religious teacher. This teacher believes that homosexuals are an abomination and will burn for eternity. Are you still on board?

You are correct. I do not trust the judgement of others when it comes to my children. I don't want teachers imposing their personal beliefs on my children because:

    1. Its not their job.
    2. Its not their child.
    3. They are already having trouble with what is currently on their plate.
    4. It sets a precedent that allows beliefs I don't agree with to be imposed.
    5. There is zero value to the practice.

I raised 5 kids. I took them to gay weddings before they were legally recognized. Opposing teachers using their position and influence to impose their personal beliefs on kids, is more than reasonable. I have experienced it several times and so have my kids.

    Bloody favoritism! :furious:
If everybody decides to hang "their" flag in the classroom where would that end? :frustrated:

Geez, you folks need to relax. Talk to parents of students in school today. Don't expect the school to reflect your values because we're preparing them to live in the world of young people starting out. Not your world. Not my world, either.

They're expected to get along with other races, LGBTQ+, both sexes. There is a considerable majority of Millennials who figure we have to do something about climate change. They want us to teach their kids about these things.
