You're literally justifying segregating and excluding people from places and events based only on the color of their skin.

And you think that that's okay because some dead white guys did the same thing many decades ago

 

Unfortunately beliefs that are a funciton of an emotional state rather than factual data are rarely changed by providing the data. Assuming anyone even reads it they will handwave it away. Look at some of the comments here - the issue isn't over-representation of minorities, it is that they see virtually ANY representation as over representation. We are talking about people who are still triggered by seeing a white woman with a black man. They are so committed to the idea that they are victims that just seeing diversity is enough to reinforce that delusion.

Facts might make you and I feel better, but it won't even make a dent on them.

Just go ahead and admit it, it's your turn now whitey. Even though the white person who's being discriminated or segregated against may not have a racist bone in their body or been alive when any of that even happened.

So you obviously believe in vengeance against the grandsons based on the sins of the grandfathers and great-grandfathers so at least drop all of your pretenses and just be honest about it.

But just keep pushing that agenda against white people who are not guilty of any of it and you might just see some pushback and then they might actually be guilty of something.

I do not believe anyone here thinks what the democrats did to blacks is OK.

 

The truth is starting to come out.
They're not struggling to seek equality, they want to see discrimination against the ancestors of those that discriminated.
They're not seeking integration because they're actively sitting here defending and seeking segregation.

They have no desire to see an end to racism. They simply want to see the shoe on the other foot.

They don't want Justice for past wrongs, they want to see revenge.

And the sad part is, is that many who are promoting that sort of thing, are white themselves.

It's the white guilt and the white savior complex and it's like they don't even understand that the people that are alive today are not the guilty parties.

They should go to the cemeteries and rant at the tombstones.

This is why no one listens to their accusations of racism seriously.

 

Showing the numbers shows the OP was mistaken, but the conversation moved on from there when people literally advocated for racial discrimination.

 

Sins of the father indeed. There are also plenty of white people today whose ancestors immigrated afterwards, and others who fought against racism, and others who were too poor to engage in it with much impact. This is a form of collective guilt based on race. It is a form of racism.

It is one thing to argue that white people who are well off are often so because of wealth and power passed down through family lines and ancestors having gained it via racism. Cybred goes beyond that though and engages in explicit guilt by association by mere skin tone. It is disgusting.

That is a legitimate concern. It is also one of the reasons anti-social behavior rose in young black men. People have a way of growing into labels.

When people are constantly taught that they are victims of the white man of course they are naturally going to begin to hate them.

 

So the people who make up stuff about diversity on TV in order to paint themselves as victims changed the topic when they got caught out making stuff up. Gotcha. Don't care.

Just curious, how many of those who supported the OP have clearly conceded that they got their facts wrong and TV doesn't under-represent white people? Did one, two, half a dozen? I'm betting it is very, very few. Instead they just changed the topic to something else that reinforces their imagined victimhood.

So, 'the conversation' has stayed right where it was - right wing white people acting like victims because it isn't the 50s.

 

I give Jolly penguin credit, he's the only progressive speaking up against his fellow liberals who are trying to now justify segregation and racism based on skin color.
And there's no need to "imagine" that because we're seeing it in this thread..... Even those who are turning a blind eye to it such as yourself.

Maybe I missed it, can you point out any other liberal who is condemning that obvious justification of modern day racism?

 

Cybred does, not most liberals. Most liberals , and now also most conservatives believe in egalitarianism. Cybred represents a very vocal pro-black racist minority who has power because the majority are guilted into going along with them. I think we are nearing the end of that though and when it finally breaks it may be very ugly, and dangerous. As you suggested, we may see an huge upswing in racism against racial minorities.

Many of those they are parroting profit from racism and so don't want it to end.

 

Regardless of if they are victims or not, what alarms me is that we have people in this thread advocating that they be.

 

I hear what you are saying, and half agree with you. The other half in this thread think it’s good that black people are sticking it to whitey. They believe reverse racism is okay; in fact, a way to tip the scales, or something.

The fact that it’s not true isn’t stopping them, either.

 

Well, before 10 years ago there were no (or very, very few) male contestants on game shows who had husbands in the first place!

As for the thesis proposed in the OP, I have made casual observations that in commercials and some shows, especially sit-coms for some reason (about the only ones of those I watch are 'Young Sheldon' and 'Ghosts', so I can't speak to how realistic the shows are or even attempt to be when it's ON as opposed to simply being advertised) do seem to have less straight white people than are naturally present in our society. Is that a good or bad thing? Hard to say. If they are specifically targeting non-straight whites for those roles, however trivial a 'role' in a McDonald's commercial may be, then yes, if it's just mostly randomish circumstances, then no. Except... If it's so easy for me to notice (and this is as casual as casual observations get, not like I have a diary by my bed to keep a running total!) and I'm not even trying, then maybe it's gone a bit too far.

Do I care? Not a lot, but it isn't ideal. I tend to tune commercials out anyway.

The West made the progress it has [over the past couple of thousand years] for two reasons...systems that worked and doing whatever it took to maintain power. Just because there are a bunch of moronic liberals who have to play out their guilt on the rest of society doesn't mean that things are going to significantly change. Did you notice how long the reparation idea had life before people in California said, "F**** no!"

History plays out over centuries, not months. When human nature over-rides this currency episode of idiotic ideology, those who are willing to do the work and make the sacrifices will end up at the top [as it should be]. And if this period has opened up more opportunities for more people to thrive, then perhaps it will have been worth the effort.

Alex Jones is very wise and has data backing his points. Plenty of criminals claim they are white driving up crime stats in white people. White people are the most persecuted group in the present. It is considered cool to hate on them.

Sure in the past whites were on top but this isn't the past.

 

A couple of your buddies right here on this forum say that it's okay to exclude white people from certain events and places.

I remember when the left bitched about the Winter Olympics being too white, the NHL being too white, swimming being too white, the PGA being too white, the Oscars being too white, the GOP being too white and there were too many white head coaches in the NFL.

In order to be consistent (lol, who am I kidding, the left consistent?) the left should be bitching about there not being enough whites in commercials, but also browns, yellows and reds.
