That's a hefty post and I will read every word eventually. But I see from the first paragraph that we share the ideal vision of the UN handling Palestine. But I just don't think it's practical right now for 2 primary reasons:

    1. No nation is going to accept handing over its security, especially over a known and repeated security vulnerability, to another nation, or group of nations, if they believe they are capable of removing the vulnerability themselves. It's going to be a tough ask of Israel.

    2. The group of nations composing the UN force will be taking casualties, perhaps for years. I'm not even sure the UN could commit to a force in the region.

I also glimpsed that you mentioned the water and electricity being shut off. I don't like this response any more than you do. When I said the Israelis have legitimate security concerns, I wasn't signing on to a genocide. I expected collateral damage from A) the immediate response to the 100% known rocket positions from the footage and radar of the attack, B) any strikes in support of rescuing the hostages, and C) strikes targeting the most senior leadership.

If they can't do this without leveling the city, come up with a new plan. I've supported Israel for years in debates, but I don't have a side that I'm eternally wedded to on any issue. I judge each situation according to my best interpretation of the facts atm, and I'll drop support for Israel very quickly if they genocide, or forcefully expel this mass of people. Well, I'll still support their people, if there is resistance to such evil being committed in their name.

But I'm tired of people only complaining about the Palestinian plight, especially from our leaders, and celebrities. Too much time has been wasted. Something historic must be done to help the innocent Palestinians avoid this war. When I was in Iraq and Afghanistan we set up tent cities capable of housing up to 100k soldiers, some of them in the middle of nowhere, and we were well fed with running water. We must act to set up something for these refugees until they can return. There must be some way to reach an agreement with Israel, Egypt, and/or Jordan to carve out temporary land in order to help these people until they can return to Gaza. Of course for security and time reasons, they will have to go almost empty-handed. But I would trade throwing $30B at Ukraine into something of the above nature, in a heartbeat...

    A) Israel has got a military assistance of over 3 billion aid a year, and that has been going on for decades and decades. It's a nuclear power as well. At no point does this look like their security is an actual concern when they break up having their colonies.
    B) Israel has been sending it's Jews to war criminal colonies in the middle of a hostile territory. So this doesn't look like Israel is very much concerned at all in the first place.

    But most of all
    C) Palestine has been violently oppressed for 75 years straight. They are poor, vulnerable and need a very massive amount of security to protect themselves against the culprits.
    D) we all agreed upon the rules. And colonization is a war crime. At no point does it look like we're going to change the rules with an exception for the Jews. And you can not expect to have a peaceful relationship when you got a war crime going on end refusing to end it. WTF are Israel and it's supporters thinking as if that would ever be an option on the table.

I wouldn't know why Oman and Saudi Arabia wouldn't want to be up for it. I wouldn't know why some Palestinians would want to hurt those soldiers.
While the UN went to nasty places like Sudan, Central Africa and Congo.
But I doubt Jews will accept a UN presence on their land calling the shots as well as the Palestinians or the Cypriots who still have them.

The freaking head of the EU called it a war crime when the Russian cut of the utilities to the Ukrainian civilians. How about we go prosecute the criminals who do that, ey... instead of picking favorites bases on ethnic background. While you can be sure Israel is going to refuse to comply with any kind of independent inquiry. They never have.

Yup. Online a hell of a lot of people are casually skipping over the ugly fact that the fascist colonization policies Israel has unleashed against Palestine, are war crimes. But you can't be going I support Israel, but lets never mind the war crime part.... just like you can support Hamas because they got some nice policies going for Palestinians in Gaza, but lets never mind they also got a wing in their department where they commit terror.

And it only starts being a legit complaint about being tired about the Palestinian plight, when the Israeli violent, racist, fascist occupation of Palestine has ended, as international dictates.

If the occupation ends, Israel is eventually overrun. I will not stand for a bunch of crazed jihadists butchering Israelis any more than the genocide or expulsion of the Palestinians. They just established one of the strictest blockades in history for decades, and still woke up to 5000 rockets fired in one morning. You seem to believe that if the Israelis did nothing to prevent the flow of weapons, it would wake up one day to zero rockets. That is preposterous. Obviously Israel has an obligation to its people to make sure that doesn't happen. And firing Iron Dome munitions to intercept the cheap rockets from jihadists for decades is not sustainable.

You're citing religious justifications and commandments are secular laws. That would be a theocracy.
Israel is not a theocracy, see previous posts so I don't have to repeat myself.

Who the hell do you think you're fooling? lol
Israel has political parties who clearly use Judaism as a guide for their policies.
    The end.

And yet, anyone is free to worship any religion, break the laws of the torah or talmud etc.
You want a theocracy to complain of? See Iran.

Not relevant to the fact that the Judaism is actually THE reason why Jews colonize across the border.

And Islam is why the Palestinians murder women, children and elderly Jews.

Islam is why there are hundreds of hostages in Gaza right now many of whom will be executed.

Free real estate is the reason people colonize the border.
Israel is not a theocracy. You're thinking of Hamas and Iran.

No. The reason is the fascist Israeli occupation and the unprovoked making new and enlarging existing colonies for 75 years straight.

colonizing across the border is a war crime. Your idea it's "free real estate" is a joke.
I never stated it is Israel is a theocracy. They do got fanatically religious political parties who got their Judaism as a cornerstone for all their policies.

You got the citation for that?

    Colonizing ON the border ain't.

You literally said judaisim is the reason a secular nation took a given action. That's silly.

    Jews go across the border.

The Israeli government contains political parties like "Religious Zionism" and " United Torah Judaism".
And it's just going full retard to claim these parties are not taking ALL their inspiration DIRECTLY from their religion.

Hamas' terror tactics come from the Koran.

Islam is a religion of colonialism & conquest.

    Just read the Koran.

There is a reason why the Muslim world is so big, and its due to conquest and blood.

Nope. That is Judaism. We all know the story about Jews killing all the men, women and children, and even the animals of Jericho with the help of their God to thieve their land. It is all of part "the promised land" theme that is part of that religion.

It's weird that you refuse to admit to this.

It's weird that you refuse to acknowledge that your holy book the Quran is full of extreme violence and blood lust.

Specifically on the claims of attacking Jews, Islam is rather clear that it's justified to execute them when they commit high treason in the middle of a war.
A death penalty for high treason still exist in countries like the US.

Point also stands: Judaism is the theme behind the colonization of Palestine. It's a war crime.

Notice how all of the terrorism is committed by Arab Muslims and not Arab Christians. It's because Islam is a faith of violence and blood. They even blow up their own people by the tens of thousands in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan etc. What kind of religion blows up their own people in the 21st century??

A hell of a lot of Christians also support the theme of the divine right of Jews getting their hands on the holy land.
    They do that through terror.

And here you are equating it to terrorism too. Very good.

No the position is that the Muslims wanted war, so they're getting one.

This is what happens in a war.

Perhaps they should stop building their military facilities under hospitals.

Good. I'm glad we came to an agreement that the only people breaking international law and committing war crimes is the elected government of Palestine.

International law says that when you use civilian areas to hide military operations they are no longer considered civilian areas.

    https://www.justsecurity.org/35263/human-shields-ihl-legal-framework/

    1. The presence or movements of the civilian population or individual civilians shall not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations, in particular in attempts to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield, favour or impede military operations. The Parties to the conflict shall not direct the movement of the civilian population or individual civilians in order to attempt to shield military objectives from attacks or to shield military operations. API, Article 51(7).
    2. Under no circumstances shall medical units be used in an attempt to shield military objectives from attack. Whenever possible, the Parties to the conflict shall ensure that medical units are so sited that attacks against military objectives do not imperil their safety. API, Article 12(4).

    1. This is the case before the ICC and other international/hybrid tribunals: For the purpose of this Statute, ‘war crimes’ means:Utilizing the presence of a civilian or other protected person to render certain points, areas or military forces immune from military operations. ICC Statute, Article 8(2)(b)(xxiii); see also UNTAET Regulation No. 2000/15, Section 6.1(b)(xxiii).
    2. Prosecuting this crime before the ICC requires proof that:
    • The perpetrator moved or otherwise took advantage of the location of one or more civilians or other persons protected under the international law of armed conflict.
    • The perpetrator intended to shield a military objective from attack or shield, favour or impede military operations. ICC Elements of Crimes, Article 8(2)(b)(xxiii).
