I have the right to refuse to provide my body to sustain them.

    Irrelevant.

We aren’t talking about a “born baby” (is there any other kind..??). Again you show the shallowness of your argument by running to a false analogy…

Look at all the states where there's been push-back on anti-abortion measures.

You seriously think that's just "the left"?

    Get a clue!

ROFL oh well THAT refutes what I said...........:wall:

You'll have to be a little more specific............wrong where and why

    As a reminder

What definition do you not know? This is not about the definition of a word. Those inherent rights are not CREATED and granted by the government PROTECTS them and is prevented from violating them or allowing others to do so. It is the babies life from creation that has the self evident right to that life not to be denied to them under the law or because someone else simply does not want them to continue living because of some inconvenience to them. Abortion is the killing of a human being simply because it is alive it is not some form of medical help, medical help does not purposely kill another human being.

Why does that trump their self evident inherent right to their life when it was not their action that put them there. Can a nursing mother refuse to feed her baby and just let it die because she does not want it to continue to live and have to use her to sustain it's life? When you are responsible for that need to be sustained?

Our founding documents are irrelevant to our rights? Now THAT is a new one. The government can just come into your house and search it without a warrant and even take you off and kill you without a trial since both are now irrelevent to our rights?

There are babies.............some are born some have not been yet.

Nothing false about it and you have yet to show where in our founding principles this right to not be inconvenienced trumps to self evident inherent right to our lives.

    Wrong about your definition.
Afterall, that's all I asked you to do, was give the definition, not your opinion, of HUMAN Being. The legal one.
As that what law is about.

Rights are absolutely granted and enforced by some entity. Often a gov't.

Rights are granted by law or constitution if one wishes to use, to human beings.
Men, to be more exact. Per the original documents.

White men, if one goes by how non white men were treated by those creating those man made documents.
They didn't even follow what their words said when they wrote those words.

You know when they are when they can't argue on the facts and the merits.

See above and explain where your being inconvenienced for a few months trumps the self-evident inherent right to life. What is more tragic being pregnant for a few months or being killed?

The constitution even says the word “born” — no where does it say conceived.

Can you show anywhere that makes you believe the constitution grants unborn fetuses more power over the mother than she has?

It doesn't. It's not a matter of 'trumping' anything. To return to my analogy...you, as a recognised living human being, have a right to life. However, I am under no obligation to sustain your life through the use of my body. I can legally and morally refuse to have your body hooked up to mine in the first instance, even though it may mean you won't survive. Similarly, if I initially agree to provide you my body, I can cease that agreement at any time, as tragic as the outcome might be.

No, she cannot, because she has a legal responsibility to adequately care for a minor child in her care. There is no such legal responsibility for her to care for a zygote or fetus...this is the clear difference between a child and a developing fetus...

They are irrelevant to a fetus...

Suggest you go and research what a "baby" is...you are clearly misinformed.

You give the lie to your argument with "our". Until that fetus becomes a baby, it legally isn't one of "us"...

My right to NOT have my body used by another is not dictated by time. You have no rights over my body for a few SECONDS, let alone "a few months"...

Of course it can be dictated by what is causing this inconceince you say you have a right to not be subjected and gives you the right to kill someone else denying them their explicit and spelled out right to their life, I'm still waiting for you to point to where you claim of this right is expressed in our founding documents.

I don’t give a toss about your founding documents and haven’t argued from that basis. My right to deny you the use of my body is there in the law. The difference between a foetus and a human being with rights is there in the law. Remember, this thread is about discussions regarding changes in LAW…

Yes our LAW based on the protect of our RIGHTS what is this distinction your are attempting to make here since all our LAWS must comply with the Constitution which enshrines our self evident inherent rights into that law?

And the LAW makes a distinction between a foetus and a human being. You may have not noticed, but women are not charged with murder or manslaughter when they have a foetus removed from their bodies…as much as you would like them to be.

So you say. Nevertheless, this thread is about the LAW and the LAW is very clear. Your claims about foetuses being babies and abortion being murder are simply false…

You'll have to be less vague with the meaning of your words.
Isn't it true that any law takes away from "liberties"?

Did you see that thread where a woman was sentenced to life in prison for feeding her children an improper diet?
Mom sentenced to life in prison for feeding baby vegan diet

So science says, don't you believe we should follow the science and our laws should be based on the science and not individual self-serving whim? I never said abortion was "murder", murder is a legal term to be used in sanctioning someone. I said killing the unborn baby in the taking of a human life and that is an indisputable fact. And baby is the proper term to use for an unborn baby.
