I would only ask that you apply that same standard to those who are born rich and who do very little, exploiting people who work hard, so they themselves can live lives of luxury. The lazy welfare bum is bad, but so is the lazy trust fund kid. Yes?

Such as? Zionist terrorism against the British with the aim of an officially Jewish Israel is fact, not opinion. It happened. Saying it didn't would be propaganda. Pushing that it did as if it means anything about Israeli's today would also be propaganda.

What is taught in Israeli schools regarding The West Bank, Gaza and settlers taking over parts of The West Bank?

Are you suggesting we take a person who is financially secure, even if it IS because they had a rich daddy or grand-daddy, that we force them under penalty of law to work? What, you aren't aware this is supposed to be the "land of the free"?? Such a proposal is anathematic to that fundamental, and much more important concept of individual liberties.

If you weren't born wealthy, get pissy with your parents, not complete strangers. Once you're over that, make sure you work hard enough that your kids don't have the same problems.

Not at all. Education is foremost about learning to learn. This cannot be done in the complete absence of facts, but the facts are secondary to the process. One may not remember the details of the history lesson 20 years ago, but if your history class taught you how to find and evaluate sources, that will serve you in a much more enduring and flexible way.

I recall one of the first things they tell you early in medical school is that half of what you learn here will turn out to be wrong. It may be an exaggeration, but medical knowledge is a dynamic thing that must be updated. Updating it requires continuous practice, as well as knowing how to continue to learn.

Children learn by imitation, not by "learning how to learn". Learning how to learn comes later. This topic is about pre-K to second graders, not medical school.

Define "Zionist". I'm quite sure we don't use the same definition.

    Define "Zionist terrorism".

Anti-Zionists' mantra is "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter", therefore I need you to define "terrorism" in order to be able to understand your arguments.

Perhaps a nice hefty tax on wealth or inheritance would do. And you could use that tax to support those not so lucky to be born into such extreme privilege and wealth.
Working and earning money, clawing your way from the bottom tot he top and enjoying your profit from doing so, the american dream is one thing.
Being born with a silver spoon and doing nothing to earn luxury yet living in the lap of it while others toil beneath you, working hard, and getting little, is quite another.
    You disagree?
The whole sentiment that goes into resenting those who take from the system and sit about doing nothing as welfare queens really should carry over to the same sentiment towards those who are born into wealth and do nothing to earn it. Both leech off of society. No?

Hey, you were the one complaining about the poor leeching off the system. I thought you found that unfair? So you should just be told to deal with it? Your daddy?

The King David Hotel Bombing (the Irgun), murders of British, etc. Take your pick. It isn't hard to read up on this stuff, but very few today know about them, especially those who want to focus on Palestinian and Aram terrorism today (which is also factual). Yes, they styled themselves as Freedom Fighters, as does Hamas today.

Hard for you to know since you don't even know what school, but it's a fairly standard bit of wisdom. Medical knowledge evolved greatly over time.

    No definitions, huh?

Did Irgun members travel to the UK to kill innocent British civilians on British soil? How many British civilians had been killed in such terror attacks? Did Irgun's leadership call for the murder of British civilians worldwide?

    Pfftt.

In England itself, I don't think so. In Mandatory Palestine, yes, they did, as well as innocent arab Palestinian civilians, with the express goal of creating a Jewish state, and they were not the only Zionist terrorist group that did so. You can read up on it if you want. I am not interested in bickering with you over it, nor am I interested in taking any particular side or it or making any arguments. These are facts and you may deal with them as you wish.

My point in bringing them up was to demonstrate that doing so will always be seen as bias. Not bringing them up will as well.

    Let's talk about bias then.

Bias number 1: you talk about Palestinians as if back then Arabs in Palestine were members of a Palestinian nation. It's implied, not stated explicitly, but anyone who is not familiar with facts will certainly believe so.

Bias number 2: you only talk about what Jews did, as if the other side was quietly sitting in a corner doing absolutely nothing.

Bias number 3: you talk about "Zionist terrorism" as if Zionism itself generated terrorism. Again implied, not explicitly. That's why I asked you to define the term. I wasn't trying to put you in a difficult position if that's what you thought.

Bias number 4: you state that Irgun and Lehi (the other organization) fought against the British and Arabs because they wanted an independent Jewish state. Not true. They fought against the British and Arabs because both attacked and persecuted Jews.

Bringing up only certain facts while ignoring the wider context is certainly a consequence of biased views and partisanship.

Ok. You appear to be very biased.

This is your bias reading something into what I wrote that I did not actually write.

Your bias apparently blinded you to my having mentioned Hamas. I brought up the zionist terrorism specifically because it is rarely mentioned, whereas Hamas is the front and centre topic, and you had also mentioned other terrorism by arabs.

That is again bias on your part. I do no such thing. I mention zionist terrorism specifically to distiinguish it from zionism itself. Islamic terrorism, palestinian terrorism, etc all use the same qualifier. Terrorism is not specifically inate in being Muslim, Jewish, Palestinian or Israeli.

They wanted a the state to be jewish. They also wanted unlimited jewish immigration by right to Israel. This eventually led to the Israel that exists today (along with other factors of course).

As I noted in my initial post above, bringing up facts, or not bringing up facts will often be seen as bias. This was but one example of it.

YOU KNOW WHEN ISRAEL SHOULD TALK CEASE FIRE? AFTER HAM-ASS UTTERLY SURRENDERS AND CRUCIFIES THEIR EVIL LEADERS THEMSELVES:

    @Alwayssa

“The Times viewed photographs of one woman’s corpse … with dozens of nails driven into her thighs and groin”.

'NY Times bears witness to evidence of Palestinian sexual savagery on October 7: “A two-month investigation by The Times uncovered painful new details, establishing that the attacks against women were not isolated events but part of a broader pattern of gender-based violence on Oct. 7.”'

'The sexual crimes committed by Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Gaza “civilians” on October 7 have been well-documented and reported on by a range of media. Nonetheless, there is a concerted effort at rape denialism.'

'They raped the women then they burned them alive. Take a good look at this. And then take a look around and see what professors, which student groups, what members of Congress are justifying this. And get them out of America. Because they would support the rape and murder of your daughter, too.'

That is what we now know that we didn't before.

    Aren't we all?

No. This is experience. I recognize anti-Zionists' loaded language, but many people don't. Mentioning attacks by Zionists against Palestinians in Mandatory Palestine leads the reader to believe that a non-Jewish Palestinian nation was already living in the region.

    Read your own post:
Hamas didn't exist back then, your argument doesn't make sense. To put Irgun's actions into proper context, you should have mentioned the Arab revolt, the White Papers, or the British authorities sending Jewish refugees back to Europe to be slaughtered, among other factors.

Valid argument. Forget bias number 3.

They wanted the British to adhere to the terms of their own mandate. The British repeatedly violated the terms of the mandate.

Bringing up only facts that suit a certain agenda is certainly biased. However, we write posts on a forum, not an Encyclopedia, so my personal method to detect bias is not so much what facts are being brought up, but the kind of language that is used by the poster.

To Call Them Degenerate Animals is Unfair to Animals . “To be clear, there is no animal species, no predator, anywhere near as cruel, as heartless, as vicious, as ignorant, as the Muslims who carried out the atrocities of October 7–and the much larger number of Muslims and Western liberals in the press, at Harvard, Penn, MIT, etc., who cheered those atrocities. No animal species has sunk that low.”

'Glenn Reynolds quotes some of the same accounts of rape and sexual mutilation of Israeli girls and women by Gazans that I wrote about here. What the Arab Muslims did on October 7 isn’t just unspeakable, it is almost unimaginable.'

In the 21st century, in a first world nation, it is unimaginable, yet it happened in the current quarter. And way too many on the Left and in Academia cheered the mass rape and slaughter of young defenseless unarmed young Jewish women.

'we’re supposed to pretend somehow that these degenerate animals aren’t degenerate animals because of a bullshit Cultural Marxist theory created by people whose goal was always to undermine Western civilization and replace it with something that looks a lot like a cross between Hamas and Stalin. Garbage ideas from garbage people who deserve to be treated like the garbage that they are, but that are instead amplified and legitimized by our academic/media/political complex, which is itself no better. It is important to make that truth utterly clear and to repeat it and throw it in their faces.'

'The purported leaders of our society–the liberal ones, anyway, which they pretty much all are–are morally bankrupt. They habitually pretend to occupy some sort of high ground, when in fact they are well below the average ethical standard. This is true internationally, too. The United Nations, for example, has zero moral authority, and one thing Israel will need to do after Gaza is finally ridded of terrorists is to keep the U.N. and its enablers out.'

'Our current political scene fits this pattern. I am no fan of Donald Trump, but what our purported leaders fail to understand is that, for all his many faults, he is not part of the utterly bankrupt nomenklatura that believe they are entitled to rule the rest of us, and which have among the lowest standards'

2023 HAS EXPOSED THE MORAL DEPRAVITY OF THE RADICAL LEFT:

'When Hamas sent men on paragliders, motorbikes and in jeeps into southern Israel on 7 October – murdering, raping, mutilating and kidnapping as many Jews as they could find – I thought those on the anti-Israel left would be forced to reassess. Forced to rethink their years of Hamas apologism – their thinly veiled support for these Jew-hating maniacs, who they have long whitewashed as a ‘legitimate resistance movement’ in Palestine.'

'After all, that dark day these supposed leftists were – or rather should have been – confronted by the barbaric consequences of their own luxury beliefs. They were shown, beyond doubt, that Hamas’s genocidal founding charter was not just talk – that Hamas was not in fact ‘dedicated towards the good of the Palestinian people and long-term peace and social justice in the whole region’, as one Jeremy Corbyn once put it.'

'But they didn’t reassess. Many leftists openly celebrated the pogrom, hailing it as a ‘day of celebration’. The Socialist Worker called on its readers to ‘rejoice’. Many initially giddy tweets were deleted, as the more savvy left-wingers settled in to blaming Israel for being attacked and refusing to believe women were raped. It was victim-blaming on a geopolitical scale; atrocity denial for the Twitterring, TikToking age.'

'These supposed anti-racists happily provided cover for the world’s oldest bigotry. Many openly engaged in it themselves. Meanwhile, these supposed anti-fascists turned a blind eye as ‘pro-Palestine’ protests turned our streets into an open sewer of Jew hatred. Genocidal slogans were chanted. Swastikas were brandished. Hate crime soared. And they just didn’t care.'

    They revel in their evil.

Some of the Left's embracing of Hamas' slaughter and rape of defenseless young Jewish Women was shocking, but looking back, we should have seen it coming.

They have 'come to betray pretty much every constituency it once claimed to speak for. When working-class Brits revolted against the neoliberal European Union, leftists smeared them as racists and rubes. When women spoke up in defence of sex-based rights, leftists called them ‘TERFs’ and ‘transphobes’ and demanded rapists be put in women’s prisons.'

'The betrayal of the Jews – though a long time coming – feels particularly poignant. This year, leftists made abundantly clear which side they are actually on.'

'What’s left? A movement once devoted to the liberation of mankind has become authoritarian and misanthropic. A movement once devoted to the abolition of racism is now the enforcer of racial hierarchy and an apologist for genocidal anti-Semitism. A movement once fuelled by the radical promise of the Enlightenment is now ‘decolonising’ itself of all of those supposedly ‘Eurocentric’ and ‘white’ values and thinkers.'

'In 2023, the radical left surrendered the moral high ground once and for all. For whether we like it or not, this is what the radical left is now. The conspiratorial Israelophobes and the woke racists run the show. The word ‘leftist’ has, with good reason, become a term of abuse among the very people leftists once aspired to liberate.'

They've made their bed, let them lie in it while we move on toward real freedom, liberation and self-rule.
