Why does the betting odds in the OP list Obama as a contender?

Where are you coming up with this backwards logic? Are you drinking?

Jobs are outsourced because of onerous taxes, regulations and unions. Competition is world-wide and the US can't compete most of the time. You democrats want to drive all the good paying jobs out of the country and simultaneously import as many illegal aliens as possible. The Democrat Recipe is the best way to turn the country into a 3rd world shithole, rigged elections and all.

No, actually, there's not. Not if those Officers take their Oaths seriously, and rest assured, they do.

Do you believe that was on Trump's crowd size, he can get more votes than Obama?

I'm asking you a specific question. Please try to answer the question instead of asking another question.

Do you or do you not think that Trump got the number of votes that he got?

It really is yes or no.

Good paying jobs? The companies often move the work to other countries specifically because they will not be good paying jobs; because they can get people in third world countries to work for pennies and in conditions that would be illegal and outrageous in the US.

This is far more a cause of job loss than illegal aliens coming in and taking the jobs.

"Greedy corporatism". Let us discuss that.
First- the very purpose of a corporation or any business not organized as a charity or non-profit, is to make money. That's amazingly like your purpose when you sell your own skill to a buyer, which you call your "employer". YOU are seeking to MAKE MONEY- and if they lost money as a result of hiring you, I'd bet you would still tell yourself you earned it.
Your employer IS your customer, and you ARE in the business of selling your services- for money. You are doing just what they are, but even with a lot of special conditions and benefits, you aren't doing the job as well- and you blame them for doing theirs better.

Unlike your position, a corporation only does well by excelling in performance. It is contained by competition; if anyone outperforms you, they take business away from you. They do not have the same rights as you, but they do have many obligations you do not. They pay half the social security for employees, give them paid vacations, pay for insurances like workman's compensation and other things. Federal law regulates what they owe you. So- your "customer" is required to give you many benefits, while you as the seller give them time. What that time is worth is zero, unless it is productive time that helps that company make money. Employers also work for governments. They collect taxes for them- - your income tax, sales taxes, excise taxes, etc. However they are required to do that free- the governments do not pay them, in fact they penalize them if the job isn't done on an accurate and timely basis. They are subject to a multitude of regulations and laws- which you are not.

More importantly, the only way they can succeed is with the approval of their customers. They are totally dependent on the voluntary purchase of their products by consumers like you. They are obligated in all their transactions, the customers generally have no obligations at all.

The corporations often have to deal with unions- whose history proves they will use any possible means to blackmail the company into paying them not to destroy them. Worse- the laws protect the unions as well as all employees, but do nothing for the corporations. And while 50% of new businesses fail in the first 5 years, we still have those that truly excel. When they do- it's because the customers have found that the company's products are the best value they can find, and so they buy from them. You should ask yourself how you could be in any better position than you are, and how much those corporations have contributed to the quality of your life.

I was an employee in a number of businesses early in life, but I've been an employer for 53 years now. Founded nine businesses including three corporations, two of which I still manage- one doing business all over the world. I've known many very successful entrepreneurs, multi-millionaires, a couple billionaires. My businesses haveoften brought me in contact with such people- and I always took the opportunity to ask them, in just the right way, to share what they feel is the secret of it. If they believe you are genuine, most will tell you how they have succeeded; incredibly valuable tips you can't buy.

I give those things away too. But most people don't want to know how to succeed, they want to know how to get rich quick. They want the easy button, the secret they think the successful people are using to extract wealth from their customers and employees. In other words- they want to know how to feed their own greed without having to work for it, and perform.

One of my businesses was consulting and training people to learn how to succeed. Succeed first as a person, to unlock their own resources and take control of their lives- and then apply that to business, to relationships, to all aspects of life. I give the essential principles away, to anybody. It's on the internet, it can be read without signing up, leaving your email or anything. If the person can follow the principles- they always work. But that isn't easy, because all the things they already think they know are in the way. If they need help to get around them, that is where they pay for assistance, for guidance. My handle comes from a woman in classes I taught free many years ago, she told me I was her spiritguide. It is that; because changing how you think is the path that leads you- your spirit, inside- to your real potential.
I wasn't born with access to that, and it took me many years of searching to find the answers- but I give them away too, in the hopes it will help others succeed.

The difference between people is not so much in what is possible for them but in their ability to find it, access it and use it. That's not greed. It's a handicap that is within the person- and can be overcome.
The idea that others who succeed have stolen what you have never had, and owe you- That is greed.

You have the same hardware as Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffet. It's your software, how you think- that makes you different.

You have beliefs that limit your capacity to succeed. All people do, some worse than others- but anyone can learn to discard the limitations and make room for the tools of success. It's not a question of being possible, but one of finding the courage to stop blaming others and take control of your own future. That isn't easy, it takes a lot of courage, and most people can't muster it. So- they choose to believe it's not them, but others who are taking unfair advantage of them. Greedy bastards feeding on you like leeches kind of thinking. If you can't find the courage to take my path, and since you see these businesses as making excessive money, why don't you start one and get filthy rich quick?

Some think that Biden will withdraw after he controls enough delegates for the nomination, and that Michelle will be airdropped in as the candidate. At 3.3% (https://www.realclearpolitics.com/elections/betting-odds/2024/president/) it's a small group that thinks enough of that to drop a wager. They're paying $3.30 for a $100 contract. Now if they do do this, those contracts will promptly jump in value by 10 times or more, and they'll wish they had bought more.

Back to the OP: One of the Strangest Years Ever in American Politics

'After the 2020 election and the overheated aftermath, Dems could have chosen to govern in a center-left way that would have largely united the nation and isolated Trump and his grievances.'

'Instead, they let the far left set the domestic agenda, ruined the economy, threw open the border and pursued a history-shattering prosecution of the former president.'

'The result may be that Trump gets his party’s nomination and wins the White House largely because his opponents tried to put him in jail!'

    'Talk about strange.'

    Please discuss.

I believe there is always fraud on some level. Nothing is 100% guaranteed.

Was it enough to change the outcome? I dont believe so because comparing crowdbsizes of Obama and Trump says Biden should win.

Biden rode Obama's wave so its entirely plausible.

    What do you think?

There isn’t an office in the land that’s a sanctuary for crime. Trump will face a jury of his peers before November ‘24. Scott Perry and his Congressional cohorts likely won’t but it’s coming. Our judicial process works albeit it’s painfully slow in this instant gratification period.

No. The demagogue and his zany band of zealots won’t get away with it. It’s unfortunate they’re putting us through this crap but we’ll come out stronger on the other side.

Part of why Trump is 8 points ahead of last cycle, and some pathetic desperate Dems are reduced to ballot stripping, are the Trump Democrats.

“They're more impacted by inflation. They're more likely to say that they're worse off than they were four years ago. And it's caused an electoral shift where, you know, the Democratic Party is no longer the party of the working class. They are the party of wine and cheese that says they haven't been impacted by inflation. They've got dirty with government jobs and contracts, and they're feeding off the rest of us. And the rest of us have had it,” McLaughlin said.

    Indeed.

'A shift by black people away from Biden could be costly because Democrats have long relied on the black vote. Several polls have shown that younger black people are giving up on the liberals, feeling that the party takes advantage of them.'

Too many Dems have long exploited Blacks, all the way back to when they held them as slaves and then terrorized them as the KKK.

'Politico, for example, found that Trump now has the support of 17% of black people. A survey from John Jordan Polling showed 22% of black people backing Trump, giving the former president a substantial opening to lure away a key element of the Democratic coalition.'

    https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/...-destroy-obama-coalition-black-hispanic-youth

Dems better double down on ballot stripping because there is a Trump Shape Cloud on the horizon.

That's pretty funny. Other Democrat contenders like Marriane Williamson and Dean Phillips I would have expected, since the former is currently polling above Haley and Ramaswamy, but I did not think of Michelle Obama, who isn't even a politician.

I think it is more people leaving Biden than people liking Trump. Dems would be wise to nominate somebody else.

Trump consistently drew crowd size in the 40 50k range, by contrast biden didn't draw flies to any event which is why very early on old joe disappeared into his basement and stayed there for the remainder of 2020

Obama drew crowds into the hundred thousands. How does Trump have the 2nd most in history, more than Obama?

On that particular point, I agree. Buying products made overseas is one thing, making connections that can get them into millions of computers to gather data is another.
I also tire of trying to wade through the auto-help crap trying to get live support, then finding that when I do- they speak broken english and know nothing except what they read on a screen.

On one hand you say you don't think so but then you turn around and basically say that you do..... Or is that a typo?

I think you are wrong because Obama took forever to endorse him and remember Obama is the guy that said don't underestimate Joe's ability to f things up.

So I think you're vastly overestimating the Obama effect

Where did I say I didn't think there was fraud? I have never claimed there to be 0% fraud.

I am not overestimating Obama's effect. Look at the inaugural crowd size of Obama vs Trump. The pictures speak for themselves.

Who holds the record for largest rally size?
