His sister, a Fed(?) judge, retired after her tax records were requested for an ethics enquiry if memory serves. No surprise^^, she seems to be the smart one.

Trump’s sister retires from the bench, negating judicial ethics complaints

First off, a friendly warning... your thread title doesn't match your URL, a no-no in Current Events.

More importantly, you made it seem LESS bad.... never a good thing in a Trump Criminal thread.

If this is too long, lose the "report says: part

Special monitor suggests Trump falsified disclosures over $48 million loan in what could be tax evasion, report says

You HAVE to get the "falsified disclosures: and "tax evasion" parts in there for sure.

The most important part about this story is that it's VERY current and not outside any statute of limitations... this could be something Bragg could jump on at any time.

    SNIP
"While the reasons behind claiming this fake loan are still unknown, at the very least he misled the government for years about his finances," Jordan Libowitz, communications director at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, told The Daily Beast. "It appears that Trump knowingly and intentionally broke the law. The only question is how many laws."

OK I scanned that thing. The Judge pointed out that many of the discrepancies had to do with a spreadsheet formula not always rendering the right totals as it should.

Here's the relevant footnote (page 8 ) with the TO admitting a loan used to avoid taxes never existed....

    upload_2024-1-28_9-10-20.png

Oopsie.... our bad... we won't refer to that "loan" any more in our documents.... please never mind that we did for years...

In Trumps case I honestly believe that because he has gotten away with it so long that he thought he was just smarter than everyone else and was going to get away with it forever.

To the tune of 48 million, that might result in charges of tax fraud?

    Almost never

And given how much we DO know about the “creative” bookkeeping at the Trump org. I’d say more likely than not intentional

It does seem to happen quite often — with all of trumps businesses.

    Definitely a shocker!

Surely maga will come up with a way to ignore it

Tim Geitner, Obama's Treasury secretary was 4 years behind in taxes, totaling $34,000. He said it was a mistake. Should he have been prosecuted? I bet you ignored that. Hell, a lot of Obamaites ignored it, obviously...lol.

Let me guess, you're going to tell us "that's different"?

Yes. That is different. Unless you have some evidence of deliberate fraud for Geitner, as we obviously do for Trump

Hunter Biden "mistakenly" didn't pay taxes to the tune of a million bucks. Is he being charged with tax evasion?

    Omg!

    Obama!

    His treasury secretary!!!!

That is definitely comparable to a twice impeached man who is running for president who has had several businesses shut down for fraud.

But yes, if someone committed fraud they should face the consequences of such. That you are having to but but but instead of just saying if he is guilty then charge him — says something about integrity.
