That might be the case. And there is quite a number of good reasons for doing so. He comes with far too much baggage. NO ONE van dispute that. This baggage is running interference in his campaigning, and will , if he takes of ice again. He is not capable of separating his emotional issues from the tasks at hand, or maintain his lust for vengeance.......which is self destructive . He is hate filled and this hate colors his decisions and motivates his behaviors.
He is not fit for the job. Never was the first time and certainly is not now. But that seems not to matter to his supporters.
Their game is to divert, distract, play what about, or simply trash dems as their loyalty to him is firmed up.
This dynamic has never happened before in this country...... so it is rather amazing to observe. One sociopathic narcissist has literally changed the nature of the nation and it's institutions. Even when NOT IN CHARGE. That is preparation for a different style of governance. By being obstructive....his peons are controlling the decisions in Washington.
(He is in command of the R's and they obstruct whenever they can.....purely FOR RUMP ........so the country does not even factor in anymore.

I just watched a video of some woman asking "why do we need gravity? What if it were never invented?". It might have been a stupid question to ask. But it was STILL a question. It was not advocating that people inject it into themselves. That is not splitting hairs as there are VERY REAL major differences. There is only one reason to say its "splitting hairs" as if there was no real difference between the two. And that is to spread a narrative. Propaganda. And its a straight up lie.

What do you think is better? Asking the question? Or actually telling people to inject it? All while growing up I was always told by my teachers that if you don't know something, then ask. And my parents always told me to ask before doing something otherwise you may screw up. You may think it was not a legitimate question, but if one doesn't know the answer, then it actually is a legitimate question. And its better to ask, than to screw up.

You do realize that the fraud case that Trump must pay $450 million in goes back at least 10 years.
And the Trump University fraud case he paid out before he took office, and the Trump Charity case.
Not to mention all the lawsuits against Trump for not paying workers for doing work, are all from before he became President.
Trump has been a fraud his entire life.
He has just somehow found a way to side-step legal accountability, until now.

This is not a legal hit job to rig an election.
This is karma finally catching up to Trump.

You realize that inflating the value of property is something every ******* person does which is why in New York, they had to reassure everyone NOT TRUMP that life will go back to normal regardless of the precedent this trial's outcome should be setting now.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/state-...r-about-trump-verdict-nothing-to-worry-about/

"nothing to worry about everyone! You are all not Donald Trump so relax!"

    <Rule 2/3>

The DNC and all branches underneath are actually behaving in the most fascist and irresponsible way possible. It's actually ****ing scary how far they are willing to go. <Mod Edit>

Pathetic. Elimination of the EC is not a partisan issue. It is simply a matter of whether or not one's vote should count in the election of the President of the United States. Under the rules now there is but one office in the US where votes are guaranteed to be negated.

Joe brings 7.2 million illegal aliens into the country. Spends billions of dollars of taxpayer dollars to support people who aren't citizens.
The left is consumed with resentment over the right objecting to that. They are sure objections to corruption are the real threat to democracy.
That's why they must declare that the right threatens the nation.

I'll bet the therapists are seeing a substantial increase in political dysphoria, people trying to figure out how an otherwise normal person can get themselves that screwed up by political hacksters.

Just look at the opinionated emotionally driven diatribes that members here write about Trump every single day.

I can't imagine spending that much time and being so consumed with the man that you could basically be writing a book by the day.

It's somewhat disturbing but also entertaining.

I think possibly we are shirking, or as my brief four years of active Army service would have it, shamming, in our obligations to participate in our democracy. There are of course mitigating circumstances.

For me the example is this:

Gaining the skills to obtain professional employment is quite time consuming. I spent about 8 years at it myself, and didn't even manage to leave with a PhD, ha, meh, blech.... And my success from that is fraught with time consuming matters of intense concentration at work. Neither Biden nor DFT is as close as I am to getting gasoline into service stations, and helping to make sure that folks producing essential-components-of-numerous-commodities-classified-erroneously as essential end products do so in an engineered safe production facility. It's f'g exhausting.

And then we have politics. Christ. Jesus jumping Christ. What a short three syllable word with a whole lot of hot mess meaning to it. Politics. Politics has to consider the opinion of Private Snuffy DumbFuck. Pretty Sweet. Meh.

I dislike Al Franken's replacement. Where's my participation trophy?

I seem to be stuck also on this gal having begun a serious crusade against sugar and then caving to special interests....

To be clear though, Stuart Smalley was a US Senator?

By coincidence I heard one of the authors of this piece, https://www.politico.com/news/2024/02/20/donald-trump-allies-christian-nationalism-00142086
Heidi Przybyla, speak yesterday. She made an interesting observation. The christian nationalists who have Don's ear are promoting a devious slight of hand. They are claiming god's law is preeminent over man's law, then claim only they know how to correctly interpret god's law.

Lovers of democracy get upset when someone threatens it. The country was founded by passionate patriots. Thank goodness those who are left can still express themselves openly. That may not be the case if people like you put the Orange Menace back in the WH. He is preparing to turn defenders of the country in to dissidents who will be targeted for retribution.

You're supporting a man who tried to steal the last election. There is a mountain of documentary, visual, and testimonial evidence proving it. Such an act, that is your support, is something the Founders would call treason.

Nope no matter how much you tell yourself that lie it remains a lie. What the Democrats are doing these days is what the founders would call tyranny.

A constitutional republic is a form of democracy. And we have plenty of examples of direct democracy such as ballot reforms/initiatives.

Republicans Openly Welcome the End of Democracy

Who is it that will determine who the next democrat presidential nominee will be just as they did in 2020? I'm not against it but it isn't democracy.
