Vast numbers of Americans don’t vote and many are declared independent. Most know the two party system is criminal and evil. How could you not know this after what’s occurred these past few decades?

 

If you want to see it that way. Just be aware that whenever you repeat a binary statement like "all politicians are corrupt" or "lie" or "can be bought"... or any similar, you are helping to support politicians who actually ARE corrupt, who lie and who can be bought.... That's the pitfall of using words like "all" or "every..." to qualify people. My best advice is to avoid them.

 

The two party system is all there IS. You will be governed either by Rs or Ds. And the next President will be either Trump or Biden.

They can declare themselves Japanese, for all I care. They WILL be governed by Rs or Ds. You can either participate in electing the ones you hate the least, or you'll help elect the ones you hate the most. Easy as that...

That is not going to change this year. Voting independent will not change it.

 

Your argument makes zero sense. Your statement that it "helps to support politicians who are corrupt" is easily one of the most illogical statements I've heard in a long time. Feel free to substitute "corrupt" for "can be bought" or "lie" or... whatever blanket statement you feel like using (with the appropriate grammatical adjustments). The argument is the same in all cases.

I completely 100% understand that. And I apologize if I gave the impression that I thought otherwise. What I'm saying is that that type of phrases are music to the ears of corrupt politicians.

As I said: please be mindful if you ever feel the urge to use words like "all" or "every..." when describing a group of people. I'm using "corruption" as an example. But it applies to many aspects of reality. For example, something like "all attorneys are thieves" will be happily promoted by attorneys who are caught stealing because it justifies their actions.

 

We all need to keep in mind Trump's mindset, should he be re-elected, will be of someone who can not run for re-election again.
