As long as you understand my 'quote'. I don't want to be accused of bad manners.

"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" Matthew 7

Which begs the questions, what is it to be known by Jesus Christ and to do the will of his Father in heaven? Clearly it isn't to read and learn of him. It isn't to invoke his name and believe. Neither is it to prophecy, cast out devils and do many wonderful works in his name. That leaves his knowing us and doing his Fathers will as the only options. Is it his will that we be unequally yoked by a variety of gospels and Christs. How can he know us if we all know a different Christ. If his existence and sacrifice makes him everyone's god and savior, then why would he send anyone away as strangers and workers of iniquity? Yet it is his prophecy and word in the Bible. The tens of thousand of denominations in Bible based religion aren't the will of God. They are the will and religion of man in an attempt to counterfeit the gospel to mans own liking. This criminal presumption has become religious tradition.

What is this latest revelation from God through Joseph Smith that was not covered by previous revelations -- pertaining to how one makes it through the pearly gates ?

You talk about "The will of the Father" .. Great .. then tell us what Joe received from "The Father" that we did not have before and tell us what the Name of this God that gave us this new revelation

What is the Priesthood of this true Church you mentioned? are you talking about priesthood of the Order of Zedek .. and what is the God of this Priesthood of the True Church ?

only Protestants do not have works in the salvation formulation ... Catholic and Orthodox represent the majority have works in their salvation formulation.

I simply do not understand why 'god' keeps changing his mind - according to each 'prophet' over many millenia. 'Visions' abound in the history of religion. From the god Marduk talking to Hammurabi. The god El talking to supposed 'Abraham and Moses' and so on down through the OT. With winged chariots, wheels in the sky. Even other religions have 'gods' from the sky. Since the Jewish preacher we have had different 'visions', angels visiting and talking to people with different versions of this and that. Wars between different religions and within religions.

    Now we have the LDS.

If there is a god he must be regretting he made man.

Yes the reformation brought that about but it was already in the scripture. It is in the "nature of man" to deny that formula. Since the advent of the printing press and the freedom won by many to translate from Latin, the scripture was put into the hands of "non-priest" citizens to read for themselves. The cat is out of the bag and Believers stand for the "liberty Christ called us to!"

As C.S. Lewis suggested, there are many to choose from, but there is One more right than others. Do we shirk the responsibility to decide? I've read the only one that best describes the fallen nature and depravity of mankind and gives the path to Salvation from that.

"Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be they name." False hoods, false prophets, and false Gods aside. True prophets of the true God are not about contradiction. They are about establishing his kingdom, line upon line and precept upon precept over the millennia. God isn't changing. He is building. So that in the end, when men are ready, and his place prepared, he will return. "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." Why this is so I don't know. Why not all at once in one generation, I don't know. Why restore the earth when there is a heaven in which to abide. Don't know. What is the earth to God that he should abide there with men, I don't know. Why is the earth so important that he should live here, only to do away with it and create a new one. I don't know. Why are the living and the dead, or the past and the present separated and scattered. Why the disarray. It isn't to me to know. I am like a child. God gives me a spoonful of oatmeal and a sip of juice, and nothing else. Why, I don't know. But I eat it and am glad. "Give us this day our daily bread."

But that depends on Jesus being more that the Jewish preacher he really was. And if you accept the Bible story without question. If you don't then it is only the parts you want to believe. It is proving more fallible as time goes on.
The fallen nature of man? Fallen from What? What the Bible tells you? Man has evolved from the animal world and still has some of the instincts of the animal kingdom though often refined over time and progress.

Salvation isn't a projection, image, or hologram. It is a life lived step by step.

What makes Joseph Smith a true prophet. You only trust what he supposedly wrote while with amistical, mythical angel.
Why are you right and not Yabberefugee. Why do you both think you are right? Why should an atheist not be right ?

It isn't just the Bible. You were born human from humans, as is everyone. We have a provable eight thousand years of history with people being born, living and dying as human beings. That's reality. The Bible says it began with the creation of our first Parents. At any rate, there is zero proof of an animal becoming a human. Furthermore, the Bible record tells us where we will end up. Can science do that? If science can determine our origin and trajectory, then surely it can plot our destination. Otherwise the theory of evolution is merely an effort to disengage us from the concept of accountability to and observance of God.

You are right that what Joseph Smith established is too much to swallow. That's why you must know beforehand whether or not it is right, good, and true.

Quit pretending you understand what salvation is.. or is not. "Salvation isn't a projection, image or Hologram" you say .. as if someone claimed it was. Who is this other person in the conversation I am not privy to ? .. is it the holy ghost whispering in your ear ? Talk about irrational deflection via strawman fallacy ..

You were asked a simple and specific question in relation to this salvation you claim to know so much about .. did you not understand the question ? though it has been asked 3 or 4 times now .. playing this dodge-ball game for what reason I do not know.

You were asked what was told to Joseph Smith about salvation .. not about your thoughts on the issue .. in particular what is in this revelation that we have not already learned through the other Revelations .. OT .. Prophet Jesus .. Prophet Muhammad ?

If you don't know .. then just say you don't know.. how else are you going to learn and progress towards salvation if you are unable to recognize what you don't know ? .. then perhaps we can go like and find if there is anything new or useful in this revelation with respect to salvation.

and Second (2) -- which God are we looking to get salvation from .. if this God's name is not YHWH .. then from which God are we looking to receive this salvation from.

?? .. what do you mean - too much to swallow ? What part of Joe's teachings are you having trouble with .. other than not being able to come up with any new information to help us achieve salvation from God .. nor figured out the name of the God we are supposed to receive this salvation from.

8000 years is nothing compared with 13Bn years of the universe and 4+Bn years of the earth. There is ample evidence of evolution but you simply deny it. All you have is a book to rely on. Adam and Eve is a mythical story written by scribes to give man a beginning. And a book to tell you what is going to happen. Science has determined our trajectory. We are in a 26000year cycle called precession. Stop reading BoM for a while and try and read
Precession Of The Equinoxes | Encyclopedia.com.
We also know that movement of galaxies means the the Milky Way (our galaxy) will collide with the Andromeda Galaxy in about 4.5 Bn years. I wonder if the Mormon Temple in West Sussex, UK will still be standing.
The problem with your book is that we don't know when anything will happen.

The Book of Mormon is even less accurate than the Bible regarding past events. It’s the tale of two groups of people with no evidence of their existence outside of a book written thousands of years after their tale is supposed to have begun.

That's true. And there are no original documents, because according to Joseph Smith, the angel took back the gold plates from which the BOM was translated. The entire matter is based on personal testimonies. And the whole thing sits atop Jesus Christ whose divinity is also a matter of unprovable testimony. So of Judaism, the messianic gospel, and the restoration of Gods Church thru Joseph Smith, Judaism is the most provable, the messianic gospel with the addition of Jesus Christ makes it even harder to prove, and the Restoration thru Joseph Smith has essentially no proof of anything aside from biblical references in the Book of Mormon which itself has no tangible origin.

There is a force multiplier at work in this. And I think it is Gods will to separate the wheat from the chaff, belief from unbelief, spirit from flesh, and man from the world. So it is enveloped in a cloud of suspicion to justify the unbelief of others and refine the faith of his own. But that isn't to suggest that the more ridiculous something is, the more believable it is. Were that the case, we'd all run to the world with our fingers crossed.

The inability to discuss the past without any degree of credibility doesn’t build a very good case for the reliability of religion’s vision of the future.

There are the religions of men, and there is the work of God. So there is cause for hope in the work of God. As Paul said: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28

A contiguous eight thousand years of proof is nothing? But four billion years of speculation is something? Dude, eight thousand years of proof is all there is. While four billion years of speculation is nothing because its empty. It's a big long nothing. And ancient prophets predicted the end of the earth and the heavens in the last days thousands of year ago, long before modern science entered the scene. Further more, science says that animals became men, but it can't say what men will become. The gospel works to refine our characters in preparation to be the immortal offspring of God by his power. That said, in owing to the eight thousand years of human history, our origin in creation makes sense because it is reflective of our existence.

You go with the animals. I sure don't. Different species never evolved from other species. (I do understand natural selection) Fallen from perfection for which we were designed. Don't blame it on the animals. We didn't learn deception from them!

4 bn years of speculation? You ignore science as it doesn't conform to your way of thinking. Predictions, prophecies are simply irrelevant. All your posts are simply predictions without any proof. You deny actual skeletons, skulls that are proven hundreds of thousands years old and show the evolving species called man. You simply live in a dream world. Natives were living in the Antipodes 50,000 - 60,000 years ago. There are cave drawing made by early man about 30,000 years ago. Continents have been moving for millions of years. Some lost continents which disappeared long before 8000 years ago, are now being found submerged beneath the oceans with evidence of mans having lived on them.
You are simply living in a world that does not exist.
