The change now is increasing Black and Hispanic support for the GOP.

You're still mad that you can't hold slaves?

that isn’t true. But Republicans keep telling each other that.

Any shift is tiny. And Republicans have been telling themselves this for years.

Only “white nationalists’ would believe that Hispanics are rushing to vote for a man who calls them dirty, drug dealers, criminals, and terrorists.

BTW, I noticed the “Dave the Black Man’ no longer appears behind Trump at his rallies anymore.

They would not be the first demographic group to vote against their self interests by supporting the POT.

Or to have others presume to decide what their interests are.

For the same reason it's now always the far right that defends the Confederacy.

No, @gipper is like you. He's an anarchist.

It was the members of your Democrat Party who spent nearly a century defending the Confederacy.

I'm not an anarchist and this sentence has nothing to do with my post.

I've spent more time arguing about Southern secession than anyone else in this forum. It's always the right wing that defends the Confederacy. I'm sorry the facts are inconvenient for your agenda.

The southern states wanted their independence from the federal government -- just like the original 13 colonies wanted their independence from the British Royalty. We must not condemn the southern states for their thinking/action less we condemn the 13 colonies. You can debate their reasons until the sun sets forever. But most always go the way that benefits them personally.
