That was a lifetime ago and in the House more democrats voted for the bill (217) than the total number of Democrats who voted against it (54), Republicans who voted for it (111) and Republicans who voted against it (20). The same held true in the Senate, but the vote margin was only a total of 1. It was signed by a Democratic President. So the claim that Republicans played a major role in passing it doesn't really hold water as the bill would have passed even if every Republican voted against it.

I hope that I am nowhere in the neighborhood when you blow something up.

Being an anarchist is a dead end. You will end up wanted by the law or in prison. It didn't work out too well for the SDS Weathermen who were from my generation. Every once and while, one of the screwed up one of the bombs they were making and ended up dead or mutilated.

    Lol.

I’m entirely and completely against violence and force, unlike the government you support.

And I believe the overwhelming number of Dems who voted against it were Southern Dems. Coincidence? I think not.

Your life will be much safer that way, but you are not going to do much damage to the government you don't like. The Democrats want to grow it big time, and most Republicans talk a good game, but keep growing it anyway.

    Childish!

Look... be it in 1860 or 1960 or 2060... if I have a say, I would support the party that does the right thing. I could not care less what the name of that Party is. But whoever supports the Republican Party THIS year, they are supporting a White Supremacist who cheats, steals, lies, abuses women and would sell out his country to a foreign power just so he can stay out of jail.

If four years or eight years from now, a white supremacist were running as a Democrat, I would be the FIRST that would be on their opposing side. So no matter what happens, I will be RIGHT. Just like, no matter what happens you will be WRONG.

Where did I say I intend to damage government? I’m merely informing you of the reality we face. I’m just an old guy who sees the truth.

The D and R party are essentially one party. They agree on most big issues and both are owned and controlled by the exact same people and entities.

The US government and the two crime families are controlled by four nefarious forces:
    1. Big Tech
    2. Big Banks
    3. Big Pharma
    4. MIC

They also own and control most of the MSM, academia, science, and Hollywood.

Wow! You're describing Biden, the guy who gropes women, sniffs kids, was BFFs with a Klan leader, has made tons of racist remarks, lies about anything, sold his office and more.

How can you say what you did and still support Biden? And calling his opponent a white supremacist is a giant leap - you just want it to be true when it is not.

But not nearly as nefarious as what would replace it.

Biden has NEVER referred to white supremacists as "good people".

You are running out of arguments to defend your idol... And as this becomes more evident, the fact that your support for him for purely dogmatic quasi-religious reasons becomes more and more evident. Because now we KNOW that the reason is NOT that you favor Civil Rights or... maybe even abolition.

In other words: you have dug yourself into a hole, and you're trying to get out of it by digging deeper.

The ‘good people’ hoax has been debunked many, many times, where have you been? Do you know what hasn’t been debunked? Biden’s racial jungle remark, him being a pal to a klan leader, and Kamala Harris implying he’s a racist which Bidens wife is still pissed about. Biden also once said gays are a national security threat. If you support Biden we KNOW you support homophobic racists.

In other words: you have dug yourself into a hole and you’re trying to get out of it by digging deeper.

    Depends!

You don’t know that. That’s merely a statist guess.

Besides why would you want to continue this lawless tyranny?

Yes. Trumps "tax cuts for the rich" capped the state tax credit thingy and the impact was to raise taxes for rich people in high state tax staes like California, New Jersey etc.

And that made the rich liberals scream like they did when trump won. They been fighting that ever since. The rest of trumps "tax cuts" for the rich, not so much.

Yeah, Lincoln would have given trump high marks and he would have shamed Jill for not changing bidens diaper more often.

Nope Democrats are still the populus liberal Democrats they are and Republicans the conservatives they are. The only thing that changed was the Democrat's segregationist finally died off or were voted out after the Dems gave up their fights against voting rights and civil rights. And to make up their lost political power enslaved blacks into government dependence to get their votes.

Johnson, famous for his referring to blacks with the "N word" say the writing on the wall that the Dems could no longer oppose the CRA and VRA and would have to give in to the Reps and signed on while formulating his Great Let's Make them Government Dependents Society programs to gain their votes. It was not for love of the black man and woman.

Barry Goldwater who as a small businessman in Phoenix AR was the first in the downtown shopping area to desegregate his store and headed up the local business council which urged all the other businesses to do the same and worked closely with the civil rights groups in the city. As the commander of the AZ National Guard he was the first such commander of forces to desegregate his forces doing so BEFORE Truman order so for the federal military. He voted against the CRA because of one provision and that was whether the federal government could force a private business to serve someone who they did not want to serve. He believe it a violation of the rights of the business owner and their private business. NOT that he supported a business acting in such a manner just that there was nothing in the Constitution that would allow the government to order it else face some penalty. He believed the manner in which he and others back in Phoenix and changed their city was the better course. That's all it was and segregation was NEVER a part of his campaign.

Yep there was a MSM even back then and a Dem party that would stoop as low as they needed to go.

Yep the Great Society plan worked and just as Goldwater predicted the racial quotas and race based policies which Hubert Humphrey guarantied would never happen did happen and have kept the country split ever since.

Well what would it take to get the black vote? What do Republicans have to give blacks to get their vote. Why the HORRIBLE record of Democrat support why don't blacks just vote for Republicans. And BTW it appears their will be a pretty big shift that way this election.

A few buttons and a card? I can imagine if they tried to hold an event in a black community the violent protest would shut it down rather quickly.

Voting against the 1964 Civil Rights Act was a huge political mistake for Goldwater. It didn’t matter what he’d done in his private life until then, it gave the image of a segregationist, and the “Solid South” voted with him accordingly.

As for “a few buttons” an outreach program to minority voters could do wonders. If the Democrats lose 30% of the minority vote, they can’t steal enough votes or stiff the ballot boxes enough to make up difference.

Yes, Washington, DC greed, the desire for unlimited power and the obsession with climate change is a cancer on the country. The climate change frenzy is the major excuse for the growth of government.
