the only thing typical is your terse unsupported throwaway line that never ever backs up what you are trying to say

Most normal people wouldn't ask such a silly question to begin with, it was completely apropos of nothing.

It doesn't even dignify an answer

Either you don't know what hypothetical means or this is extreme avoidance and if that's the case I will not push you further because you must have your own issues.

You are not the best judge of normal and it is completely apropos to his point.
    Can you answer it?

Your claim is completely fabricated. You've had several opportunities to support your vicious slander of a County Sheriff. I have no responsibility to respond to your weird racialist musings, I simply asked for concrete facts to respond to, and you have yet to offer any.

Because it isn't diverse, educational or inclusive, but the opposite.

I don't think that's ok, no. I wouldn't want somebody in charge of enforcing laws who clearly favours or disfavours people based on race. Sadly this still does happen sometimes. Thing is, when done openly and explicitly, it's now more often done against white people than for them.

Only some cons. What most cons mean is hire and appoint based on merit and not on race. And people who aren't racists, including liberals who aren't racists, agree with that.

Condemnation of racial hiring and racial prejudice is something we should all be able to agree on.

I think its most cons since every time minorities in positions of power and authority are discussed its always assumed that they were not hired by merit.

That comment is a year old. If you have something to say about it, then say it. Don't be cowardly.

That's in large part because there exist official policies to do so. If racial minorities were not hired openly because of their race, framing it as progressive, the cons who still objected would be more easily identified as racist. As is, you often can't know and to presume would be prejudice against them rather than them being prejudiced.

    Hypothetical-imagined for purposes of example.

Are you against treating people differently based on race, regardless of if that means treating me better or worse than the white guy because I have dark skin and epicanthic folds?
If so, then we are on the same page. If not, and if you are only against it in some cases, depending on who benefits and who suffers, I can't respect that, nor can I call it liberal.

When you have an example based in reality, rather than just your imagination, let me know.

I think I have brought up before your lack of understanding of US culture. African Americans, since the beginning of this nation, have been assigned the underclass unlike in other nations. Before WWII Nazis came to the deep south to study our racial laws and how they might apply them to Jews. They have always been considered the underclass and that is why black immigrants do not like to be considered African American because they know it is an impediment. Changing the laws in the 60s did not make it go away and we, as a nation, are still struggling with the aftermath. Right-wingers and you don't like our attempts at equity, but Blacks are tired of being the underclass.

I hope you can resolve your issues.

That doesn't address the question I asked you, so I ask again:

If you are not against treating people differently based on race, then it seems to me that you are part of the problem you speak of above.
You're either for or against racial discrimination. Which is it? I'm against.

You are either against discriminating against all people based on race or you are not.
If you want to discriminate against people of a particular race, that's not being anti-discrimination or anti-racist. Its the opposite.
That sort of prejudice and racism has no place in liberal egalitarian society.

You aren't liberal or egalitarian if you want to discriminate against people by race, or prejudge them based on race.
This used to be well known on the left. Sad that so many are losing sight of it.

Restitution is trying to make things right (as much as can be done) to individuals who were wronged, not preferential treatment to people who merely look like them.
