The Trump worshipers' article of faith that the Cry Baby Loser/Sexual Abuser is above the law is an unambiguous perversion of th American justice system, made necessary by his impotence in concocting defense strategies that could hold up in trials before juries of his peers.

 

I TAUGHT Logical Fallacies at the University where I worked. In fact, I wrote the webpage that lists all the Logical Fallacies that students at that university use for reference even to this day. Many professors who taught what I used to teach have used that page as mandatory reading for testing. And it's referenced in the Bibliography.

Appeal to Sympathy is a fallacy (as all logical fallacies are) when they are used INSTEAD OF actual evidence, that what you say happened, actually happened. Family separation DID happen. Trump DID sign the policy. And it DID inflict mental pain and suffering (legal definition of "torture") on the children. And that this was the purpose of the policy is proven by Trump's own words when he said that the intention was (directly quoting Trump) "If they feel there will be separation, they won’t come.." and (directly quoting Sessions) “If you care about kids, don’t bring them in....”

That audio is not used to prove that it happened. It's used to illustrate the fact that the consequences that any rational human being would expect actually DID happen.

I feel I'm probably wasting my time. Because I doubt you will even read any of the above. Or, if you read it, I'm not sure you'll understand it (prove me wrong by discussing it using SERIOUS arguments). But I'll keep it anyway so if a serious poster needs the explanation, I can just give them the link and won't have to write it again.
