Crime rates are down virtually everywhere in the country, including the homicide rate.

The presence of armed guards in schools has no effect.

It doesn't deter shooters (because they're crazy), and it doesn't reduce the number of victims, because many guards flee the scene when they hear gunshots.

Even the police hesitate to enter schools when there's an active shooter.... like in Uvalde.
