The greatest deficits were in WW! and WW!! after Roosevelt shoved taxes up to 90% and higher. The gulf war exclusive of things we would have been shelling out anyway like salaries and maintenance and the like.was more like 1 trillion Bidens proposed budget was over 7 trillion for 1 year.

Making excuses for the GW Bush mess? He inherited a budget surplus, and created a nightmare.

Need a link for that Biden statement...

    Google it.

Bush inherited the collapse of the .com bubble, in no small part created by the Clinton antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft.

I'm not Googling anything. You probably just made it up.

Bush was way in over his head - totally unqualified to be president. But if it makes you feel better - blame Clinton for the Bush mess.

I understand it is always feels better to remain ignorant of reality than to find out you've spent considerable amount time and energy being wrong about most everything,

You need a lesson in history, so I'm providing one.

Great Recession Could Have Been Prevented by Bush Administration

The Great Recession was so great not just because of very sharp unemployment increases but also due to an unprecedented decline in wealth—as the Federal Reserve detailed in a report released last week. That wealth destruction is key to understanding the Great Recession since massive house price drops led to a foreclosure crisis that then fueled massive layoffs. Much of the unprecedented wealth destruction in 2007 and 2008 can be traced back to failed economic policies under President George W. Bush, when opportunities to put the economy and the labor market on the right track were ignored.
