Um ... which part of "The video comes from the Dilley Meme Team, a group of video creators that support Trump for president" did you misunderstand? Hint: they aren't leftists. As for the eclipse pic, Jim Jordan put that out, so you'd have to ask him where he got it.

Yes, I have no doubt he thought it to be funny. Of course that was the intent. That satirical picture has circulated pretty widely, and he was just one more person that posted it.

I felt it worthy to comment upon one of his two quips.

Responding to one does not obligate to respond to them all.

If you want to joke about the wacky Greene, I will see your Greene, and raise you one Rashida Talib. In other words, Greene is a wackjob that I could not possibly care less about, but Jordan is not. Conflating these two things to be the same is disingenuous.

The part where that video was a strawman that had nothing to do with what we were discussing.

Hint: We were discussing a jowly unflattering picture, not a video.

Are you talking about the illustration on the Rolling Stone article?

    https://www.rollingstone.com/politi...6rX9wmGEXNGXHCILl26WBqW_PDTsQ0f_kbsEp2ihF_Tj8

ILLUSTRATION BY MARCO VENTURA FOR ROLLING STONE

Why are you so upset about that? Editorial cartoons often picture politicians according to their tastes. You should read the article,.Then the illustration might make sense.

    Yes that is the one.

Im not upsert about it even slightly.

I was discussing it with someone else who posted it and claimed it was from Trump. I correctly pointed out it was not from Trump or even his supporters. In response, that person changed the subject to a video made by Trump supporters and pretended like they were shooting down what I had just said about that picture. It was just a simple textbook strawman argument.

In truth, I could not possibly care less about that picture.

I'd say the gravest sign of repentence thus far is the election of Joe Biden. After all if God is in charge and He permitted us to elect an antiquated corrupt old buffoon like clueless lying Joe, we must have seriously screwed the pooch some how or the other.

I'll go with Biden who is reducing our Debt, despite the fact that he accrues massive daily interest from the record 4-year debt of Trump.. Trump - $8 Trillion, Biden projection - $7T. So who is the buffoon now?

You have to be kidding. We are blowing a trillion every 100 days right now. That another 2 and 2/3 Trillion between now and when he leaves office. And that assumes that the house reps don't cave to the demands for even more spending between now and then.

Geebus, dude. Chill. I didn't bring Marge into the thread, the OP did. I was just trying to clarify where the "divine warnings" came from.

I never said that you brought Marge into the thread. That was the OP. When you approached me talking about Marge it was not the topic because that was not being discussed.

The divine warnings thing came from the OP. Not a big deal and there is certainly not a reason to say chill because I have been chill all along. It is just such a common occurrence that people try to derail discussions and I do not let that happen. If it was an honest mistake/misunderstanding on your part, apology accepted. We can move on. I am not interested in bickering aimlessly about that lame brain. That type exists on both sides of the aisle and it is a waste of time discussing them.

Im not sure what you mean by no good deed goes unpunished.

    Hmm. OK.

Johnson was never going to go for it anyway, no matter how you decide to divvy up that pie.

An apology should be on you. I provided information, and you accused me of derailing your debate. That's my punishment for trying to be helpful: snark. In no way was I attempting to change the subject. You asked about divine warnings and I answered.

I have a better idea. How about you simply stop bickering aimlessly over nothing?

    Good day sir.

I agree that we need to address the deficit. However, Trump was much worse - a record $8 Trillion in debt over 4 years. We will not solve the deficit through spending cuts alone. Top tier tax rates will have to be raised to the levels of the '50s, '60s, and '70s. At least for a while, until the deficit goes negative again. Notice the manageable deficits during those years, with the higher top tier tax rates.

Nice charts fully demonstrating that there is zero connection between tax rates and deficits. And the highest deficits come when Democrats fight wars.

Hmm. Are you SURE about that?

What about all that "Geebus dude Chill" simply because I was keeping the discussion focused upon the one of the two points mentioned in the OP that I commented upon?

The data on the chart is in stark contrast with your statement. From the '50s thru the '70s,with high upper tier tax rates, the deficit was under control. GW Bush wars were the deficit builders - cost about $6 Trillion.
