Somebody's whities are in a bigly wad tonight.
He needs to get some ZZZZZZZ cause we wouldn't want him to fall asleep during "Opening Statements", now would we?

"Four years ago I was a very successful and popular President of the United States and, in November, went into an Election where I received more votes, by far, than any sitting President in the history of our Country. Unfortunately, the Election was Rigged and Stolen, and our once great Country has quickly become a Nation In Serious Decline. Tomorrow morning I report to a New York Criminal Court for a Trial on, somewhat ironically, ELECTION INTERFERENCE, ruled over by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, before a Corrupt and Highly Conflicted Judge, a failed Soros funded District Attorney who didn’t want to bring this case, which could have been brought eight years ago, but wasn’t, in an almost completely Democrat District. Virtually every Legal Scholar and Expert says that there is NO CASE, NO CRIME, NO NOTHING! IT IS A SHAM THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN BROUGHT, EXCEPT TO TRY AND DAMAGE BIDEN’S POLITICAL OPPONENT, ME. SEE YOU TOMORROW MORNING!

The Corrupt Soros Funded District Attorney, Alvin Bragg, who has totally lost control of Violent Crime in New York, says that the payment of money to a lawyer, for legal services rendered, should not be referred to in a Ledger as LEGAL EXPENSE. What other term would be more appropriate??? Believe it or not, this is the pretext under which I was Indicted, and that Legal Scholars and Experts CANNOT BELIEVE. It is also the perfect Crooked Joe Biden NARRATIVE - To be STUCK in a courtroom, and not be allowed to campaign for President of the United States!

    Good stuff, Izzy...
    I, especially, liked this one:
Merchan turned his face to the former president and said in a firm voice: “Sir, can you please have a seat.”
His long, black robes dangled from beneath his right hand as he waved it down, like a man addressing his dog. It wasn’t a question. And while the judge maintains a stoic demeanor at all times, the tone was decidedly sharper than even the one he’d taken when expressing disappointment in Trump’s lawyers minutes earlier.
Without hesitation, Trump went and plopped straight back down into his maroon leather chair

^Trump seems to have received some obedience training.

Oh, please you could take the NDA fund Congress has and claim the same thing about anyone that's ever used it and you still can't make that claim. You see trump as a political opponent, the world see's trump as a brand, especially before the first election. Business protects the brand with NDA's all day every day. If he put it under the wrong expense in the ledger is all you've got then run with it, oh wait you can't because the statute of limitations is out. So, lets tie it to a federal charge to make it a crime to commit a federal crime. Oh, wait he wasn't charged with a campaign finance violation even after investigated. Well, let's charge it, wait only two agencies have authority to charge campaign finance violations. Ok let's act like he's committed a federal crime and that's how we can bring in the ledger issue and it will make the accounting error a federal crime vs a state crime therefore the statute of limitations is out the window. We'll get a favorable lefty donating/campaigning judge, we'll get a seasoned doj prosecutor for free somehow, and make sure it's in Manhattan where all my rowdy lefties have settled down. Bingo get a conviction that will be overturned but guys like NOONE will sing from the rafters Trump is criminal lol

For some reason I feel it will backfire but we'll see.

How will a conviction be overturned? Would it be overturned on the ludicrous and baseless theories we’re seeing here? Which theory? LOL!

I doubt his lawyers are that clueless.

      Juror stays on the case

      Kayla Epstein

      Reporting from court

After a short chat, the juror who was having doubts, "is going to remain with us," Justice Merchan said.

We're on to other housekeeping matters now.

      Court is now in session.

We're beginning with some hiccups, Justice Merchan says.

We will have to break at 12:30 today, because one of the jurors has an emergency dental appointment.

He wants to keep this jury together as solidly as possible, so is allowing the accommodation.

A second juror has started to have doubts about the amount of media attention the case is receiving and "wasn’t 100% sure if they wanted to be here today," Justice Merchan says.

The juror has come to court, and Justice Merchan has left the bench as he goes to his robe room to confer with the juror.

Everyone - including Trump - now waits in silence.

How long will opening statements take?

    Kayla Epstein

    Reporting from court

The Manhattan District Attorney's office says their opening statement will take about 40 minutes.

Trump's attorneys say theirs will take about 25 minutes.

We're not yet at that stage of the day though, there are some general court issues to clear up first.

'Donald Trump defends linking Ted Cruz's father to Lee Harvey Oswald'

'There was a picture on the front page of the National Enquirer, which does have credibility," Trump said to a room of volunteers and staffers in Cleveland, adding that the tabloid "should be very respected."

In May, Trump had said to Fox News, "You know, his father was with Lee Harvey Oswald prior to Oswald's being -- you know, shot....Right prior to his [Kennedy's] being shot, and nobody even brings it up. I mean, they don't even talk about that. That was reported and nobody talks about it."

The story Trump referenced had appeared in the National Enquirer and was immediately debunked. The Washington Post said Trump had made "a ridiculous claim." Politifact concurred, saying that the photograph was "too degraded to offer much confidence," and experts it consulted "consider Trump's claim implausible at best and ridiculous at worst."

Despicable Trump stooped lower than usual using America's tragic JFK's assassination by Oswald to try and get Cruz voters.

Can Trump's other legal cases be brought up in court?

        Reporting from court

Justice Merchan just gave us his ruling on the Sandoval hearing, which decides what previous Trump cases can be brought up during this trial.

The two legal teams made their case to him on Friday.

The judge just told the lawyers that he is allowing determinations from four previous cases, including elements of the civil fraud judgement that led to a fine of $454m and even Trump's violation of the gag orer in that case.

He is also allowing prosecutors to bring up the determinations in the two E Jean Carroll cases.

Trump was found liable for sexual abuse in the first case and then defamation in the second.

This is a loss for the Trump defence team, who had hoped to limit the potential fallout of the former president’s other legal troubles.

Prosecutors, however, will want to show that this alleged crime of Trump's is part of a pattern of behaviour'.

We could back and forth all day, every day on crazy BS stories by politicians. What I laugh about is one side acting like the other is soooo much worse, when both sides politicians are freaking liars that will do anything to stay in office and gain power.

'Remember you have promised to be a fair juror' - judge

        Kayla Epstein

        Reporting from court

Justice Merchan explains the main procedures and rhythms of a criminal trial to the jury, who are listening attentively in their seats.

I am sitting a few rows behind them, and from what I can see, most are turned in their chairs towards Justice Merchan, not towards the famous defendant just a few meters away.

He instructs them on the proper way to take notes, the high legal standard of “beyond a reasonable doubt” that the prosecution must meet, and the importance of deciding their verdict based on that standard.

“Remember you have promised to be a fair juror,” Justice Merchan says.

Prosecutor: Trump paid hush money to make sure public wouldn’t know about sexual encounter

Assistant District Attorney Matthew Colangelo told jurors Monday that former president Donald Trump paid adult-film actress Stormy Daniels to be silent about their past sexual conduct, as part of a scheme with his former lawyer Michael Cohen to keep voters from learning about it before the 2016 election.

“They disguised what the payments were for,” Colangelo said, speaking clearly and calmly with his hands in his suit pockets.

“The defendant said in his business records that he was paying Cohen for legal services pursuant to a retainer agreement. But those were lies,” Colangelo continued. “The defendant was paying him back for an illegal payment to Stormy Daniels on the eve of an election.”

Cohen’s job, Colangelo said, “really was to take care of problems for the defendant.”

Trump has denied the alleged encounter with Daniels'.

Prosecutor: Hush money payment grew from conspiracy with National Enquirer to aid Trump

Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo, left, speaks as former president Donald Trump sits between his attorneys Todd Blanche, Emil Bove and Susan Necheles during a hearing in Manhattan state court in New York on March 25 in this courtroom sketch. (Jane Rosenberg/Reuters)

Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo said the money given to Stormy Daniels in 2016 was part of a larger pro-Donald Trump effort launched with his former fixer Michael Cohen and David Pecker, the former chief executive of the company that published the National Enquirer.

Colangelo said there was “a conspiracy launched at the Trump Tower meeting” between those three men, in which they allegedly agreed to find bad stories about Trump and squelch them, and amplify good stories about him.

“This was a highly unusual meeting,” Colangelo said.
