... with challenge of picking a jury "After a norm-shattering presidency shadowed by years of investigations, the trial amounts to a historic courtroom reckoning for Trump, who now faces four indictments charging him with crimes ranging from hoarding classified documents to plotting to overturn an election. Yet the political stakes are less clear since a conviction would not preclude him from becoming president and because the allegations in this case have been known for years and are seen as less grievous than the conduct behind the three other indictments." https://apnews.com/article/trump-hush-money-trial-jury-selection-8da8759352478be8effd3d5734aae35e Judge Merchan is setting the rules of evidence and decorum before jury selection and it seems both sides have had some wins. But tRaitor tRump could end up in jail IF he can't control his hands and mouth.
Yea, let's have "a nice honest presidential election" with ONE CANDIDATE on the ballet, Biden. That's the way you fellows want it, isn't it?
Yeah I prefer nominees not send in fake electors or tell their followers lies about stolen elections. That's most certainly how I prefer elections.
If they nominate Hailey or DeSantis, you still be looking for ways to indict them. It's your new campaign strategy.
I'll call bullshit on that one. "I" don't have a "campaign strategy", "I'm" not running. But if "I" were, it would start with not breaking the law.
That's the definition of hyperbole after tRaitor tRump's many, many, many ... MANY!!!, attempts to fraudulently overturn the 2020 Presidential election and, in the process, overthrow Government BY the People.
Clinton was guilty of lying about a blow job and, SO FAR, Comer Pyle, in spite of non-stop efforts to dredge something up on President Biden has found ... ... NOTHING!!!!!!!!! ... AND WON'T!!!!!!! Because, unlike tRaitor tRump, President Biden IS an honest man.
There may be some Democrats that want that, but I can't answer for them. IMO, I would like to see an election with 2 or more candidates that I like. In 2008, we had two decent candidates to choose from. Either one would have been a decent president. 2012 was a one sided contest, but Romney was a decent guy, but Obama had done well enough to get re-elected. 2016 was a no sided contest, didn't like either candidate. Worst two candidates in history. 2020 was another one sided contest, BARELY. The best thing about Biden in 2020 was that he wasn't Trump. Trump is that bad, IMO, and Biden wasn't quite that bad. I think we get better leaders when there are at least two candidates that are decent. It's actually sad to see that so many elections don't fall into that category. And there have been plenty of possible candidates who could have filled that category, from both sides, but the primaries seem to eliminate those. Kasich in 2016, Klobuchar, etc. Would like to see challengers to the incumbent more challenging, but the incumbent seems to have the strong upper hand in primaries and conventions.
It’s hard to get decent candidates when the goal of both sides is to ruin the reputation of the other side. The Democrats have upped the ante by weaponizing the justice system. Who wants to be financially ruined by frivolous lawsuits because you are running for office? I will agree with you that we have had poor choices in presidential elections since 2016. This year is the worst. We have two old men who need to retire.
THAT AbsaByGodLutely is, knee deep, horseshit! Or iron clad "lawsuits" backed with evidence up TRaitor tRump's cotton candy hair! One, tRaitor tRump, who turned OUR Presidency into a criminal enterprise and President Biden who has done a solid job of serving the people ... ... his whole life.
Mostly agree with your response, but disagree with the part in red. The justice system may be being used, but it isn't being weaponized. Trump wouldn't be in legal jeopardy if Trump had observed the law. In other words, he dug his own grave. He was stupid enough to do it when there were backhoes lined up to help bury him. Example: two drivers are speeding down a highway past a state trooper. One is going 8 mph over, the other 25 mph over. When the trooper fires up his lights and pulls out to apprehend them, the one going 8 mph over starts to pull over, the other one steps on the gas and flips off the officer. Who do you think they are going to get pissed off about? Trump pulls his crap, and then gives a big "F you" to authorities, so it isn't any surprise they go after him, and it's hardly unprecedented. What is new is that someone of his stature (politician, rich guy) would do that. Maybe that's endearing for some, especially the stick-it-to-the-man types, but it isn't weaponizing the justice system. It, the system, is responding like I for one would expect it to.
We will politely disagree on that one. The current case is complete garbage. If any other person in America, other than Trump, had done the same thing, there would have been no trial. It only exists because Trump is the target. The case with one crooked, baist, showboating judge at the head of it was also garbage. Not one lost a penny. The state of New York lost nothing. The banks who loaned Trump money wanted to do business with him again. Georgia? Trump was stupid. The election appeals were over at the end of November. All he did was foolishly ask for more votes. It's no different from what Gore did in 2000. In the meantime the stupid, crooked arrogant Georgia prosecutor has financed her whoring around with public money. She should be the one on trial. But you can vote for Biden. His crooked, drug addicted son has collected illicit money from our enemies. We have no idea how compromised the shell of a man who is in the White House is. Biden is just as bad as Trump when it comes to dishonest behavior. It's a lousy choice, but I'll take Trump. At least he's not senile.
Poor guy was tired just before lunch, media reports he nodded off and head snapped a wake up (no drooling reported). He'll have lots of time for nodding off for the next month.
Pssssssst. Nobody gives a **** about Ole Joe's crackhead son other than rightists. Good luck in Roevember.
Which defies ALL credulity. The son of bitch has 91 OTHER indictments pending for defrauding the American people in ways nobody thought a sitting President ever would. His past if filled with attempts to defraud any and everyone he's done business with including children with cancer. He's turned the whole ******* country upside down with his lies about being persecuted and cheated to the point good honest Americans are suspicious about the instutions of government that have served them for 240 years and created the Greatest Nation ever on earth. And now, you want us to believe this trial is a sham that would never have happened if it weren't for him being tRump? The fact is he's been heading for this day from a very early age, and has only gotten away with it because of bluff and bluster. I call BULLSHIT on that! That's horseshit, the State of New York was defrauded out of millions in taxes. And the banks, when he bankrupted, settled for pennies on the dollar. It's worlds different, Gore asked for a legitimate recount, and acquiesced and accepted defeat. TRaitor tRump wanted the Georgia Sec State to magic votes into existence and has never publicly admitted he lost the election he AbsaByGod Lutely did. That's a proven lie. And yet SHE isn't, tRaitor tRump is. Isn't President and has done a remarkably admirable job of rehabilitating himself because he has a good dad that stood by him. Which is an unproven accusation. Yet, President Biden is facing 0 indictments and has never been impeached, even though the tRumpublican house tried their hearts out to impeach him. You're right tRaitor tRump is a lousy choice and yes for all appearances he seems to be losing his mental ability to even speak.
Hey Now, @Wild Bill Kelsoe , good news for you brah, the judge ruled out the audio tape as evidence on the grounds that it would be too prejudicial to Agent Oranges (AKA The Serial Fraudster ) and, for now, the jury can rely on the transcript. See, due process brah...
