Popok says notice that Trump trashes Cohen and Stormy but never David Pecker? He goes over everything Pecker and his importance for the prosecution. Trump never reimbursed Pecker the 150,000 for Karen McDougal.
Posted at 10:5210:52 Simple maths in court as prosecutor explains 34 charges Phil McCausland Reporting from court Trump is facing 34 charges of falsifying business records, and now Colangelo is laying out how that number came together. It’s based on three different types of false records: invoices, ledger entries, and cheques. There are 11 invoices that the prosecution says falsely described what the Trump payments were for, 12 allegedly false entries in the Trump Organization internal ledger system and 11 cheques that allegedly falsely described the nature of the payments. Add those numbers together, and you get 34.' https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/04/22/trump-hush-money-trial-live-updates/
REPORTING FROM THE NEW YORK COURTHOUSE 2 min ago The prosecution’s opening statements have repeatedly described Donald Trump’s 2016 concerns about his standing with female voters who might recoil at allegations of an extramarital affair. The gender gap in Trump’s support will be a defining dynamic of this election, too. One recent national poll found President Biden leading Trump with women by 16 points, while Trump led with men by 20. 4 min ago Payments to three Trump accusers were ‘election fraud, pure and simple,’ prosecutor says Prosecutor Matthew Colangelo said the $130,000 payment from Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels was done “at Donald Trump’s direction and for his benefit, and he did it with the specific goal of influencing the outcome of the election. No politician wants bad press. But the evidence at trial will show this was not spin or strategy. This was a planned, coordinated long-running conspiracy to influence the 2016 election, to help Donald Trump get elected through illegal expenditures, to silence people who had something bad to say about his behavior, using doctored corporate records. It was election fraud, pure and simple.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/04/22/trump-hush-money-trial-live-updates/
Now we see the weakness, the DOJ and Campaign finance didn't charge nor even issue a fine and they fine for anything and everything. They looked at 7 years ago and passed. Kind of tough to say something means this, when there is no this.
Were the payments made by Pecker’s outfit on Pecker’s own initiative too? Trump had nothing to do with that? Why did the Orange Colonblow cook the books to hide Cohen’s payment?
3m ago / 11:18 AM EDT Prosecutor says Cohen's testimony will be backed up with emails, texts, phone logs, business documents Rebecca Shabadis in Washington, D.C. Colangelo told the jury that Cohen's testimony during the trial will be backed up by emails, text messages, phone logs and business documents. “And it will be backed up by Donald Trump’s own words on tape, in social media posts, in his own books, and in videos of his own speeches," he said. 3m ago / 11:18 AM EDT Colangelo finishes Colangelo finished his opening statement, speaking for 45 minutes and 30 seconds. 9 min ago Trump lawyer: Trying to influence an election is not a crime By Defense attorney Todd Blanche said the prosecution’s case is hobbled by a “complete lack of knowledge or intent by President Trump.” LOL Blanche used his opening statement to target the very heart of the prosecution case — the notion that the alleged conduct was a corrupt and criminal attempt to influence the 2016 presidential election. “President Trump is not on the hook, is not criminally responsible for something Mr. Cohen may have done years after the fact,” Blanche said, referring to former Trump attorney Michael Cohen. LOL “There’s nothing wrong with trying to influence an election; it’s called democracy,” Blanche added. “They put something sinister on this idea as if it was a crime. You’ll learn it’s not.” LOL

it is NOT against the law to screw around and cheat on your wife it is NOT against the law to pay a woman to be silent about an affair the affair is only important to the case to prove trumps motive to commit fraud BUT it IS against the law to claim the payments made to a woman to be silent were a business expense maybe it is a business expense ..if the payments are found to be legitimate..then case closed .. trump walks my question is did trump send either of the women he paid for silence a form 1099?? as would be required by law if he is claiming the payments to be a business deduction..the money was not paid to a corporation ..unless the checks were made out to Stormy daniels INC. trump is being charged with cooking his books to cover his actions ..not for being a scumbag that screws pornstars
They signed a legal NDA filed with the court? Stormy has already lost a defamation case against Trump and required to pay Trump 300k lol.
The basis for the 34 felony counts against tRaitor tRump is that he created, or had created, fraudulent (false) entries in his company books to hide the fact/crime that he had an affair with a porn star so that it wouldn't have a negative affect on his chances for election. Using the fraudulent bookkeeping entries to support and hide the felony crime of election interference escalates them to felony status and extends the statute of limitations. I see tRaitor tRump as a disgusting low life criminal con man that is a existential threat to the Country I love, it's Government and OUR Constitution. Maybe, but "the world" also see tRaitor tRump as an unstabelizing influence on international economics and politics. The statute of limitations on fraudulent bookkeeping are extended and become a felony when they are done in support of and conjunction with another crime. Oh, wait! States and municipalities can have election laws of their own which, when broken, can be prosecuted independently of Federal Law. That's not true. OR, they could (and did) charge him with fraudulent bookkeeping to hid his crime of election interference. TRaitor tRump's organization has been before both the prosecutor and judge before in the trial that sent Wieslman to jail and cost the "organization" $1.6 million in fines. They didn't just materialize to prosecute this one case. The crimes werre commited. I'm surprised you find it funny, I don't and I'll bet tRaitor tRump doesn't. I wouldn't count on a conviction being overturned, if I were you. I agree, I think there is a GREAT chance of him being acquitted or at least getting a hung jury.
