IE: They were arrested for trespass and not because they were exercising their 1st Amendment. Additionally, Abbott had nothing to do with it. Except maybe support the police doing their jobs.

People's right to protest is not unlimited. Your rights end at the tip of the nose of infringement on another person's rights. i.e., you don't have rights that allow you to take away another person's rights.

I'm sorry I don't have the time to dig up the video for you, but it shows Abbott's flaming hypocrisy in this matter of the First Amendment rights regarding free speech. I had greatly admired Abbott, and for that matter DeSantis and Noem, but recent events and actions on their parts show them to be just another group of Israeli First governors. By their actions as elected officials, they have clearly demonstrated how and why we are today the United States of Israel. It's been going on for decades, but this contemporary group is just the current example.
