I'm watching the tail end of a DVD I bought over the summer. - Gypsy - {1962}.I watched around half and then a little more months later.No Natalie Wood.She isn't in it till towards the end. I just heard heard her talk.I'm watching the rest of the movie. I can't believe it.I haven't heard her voice in quite some time.I manage to watch - Rebel Without a Cause - every few years.Also - Love with the Proper Stranger - 2 of her best. I instantly missed her.That doesn't happen often.She was a special actress.I remember Harvard Lampoon awarded her their Turkey Award after - Love with the Proper Stranger - which is a VERY good movie. Starring Natalie and Steve McQueen.Ms. Wood accepted that award even though it's kind of a gag award.Showed she was a good sport. But her Voice.I literally fell in love with Natalie Wood in Warren Beatty's Film debut - Splender in the Grass - which in my mind is THE best Tearjerk Love story ever put to film. What Actress or Actor do you miss.?
Audrey Hepburn was a Saint.No question about it. I recommend a really good seldom mentioned Movie by Movie Great Billy Wilder { My Favorite Director } and arguably the greatest actor of all time Gary Cooper. Love in the Afternoon {1957}
She actually left acting in her Prime to dedicate herself to the plight of the Poor.Dedicating the remainder of her life to helping impoverished children { UNICEF } in the poorest nations. Mia Farrow has also done this kinda thing,trying as best she can to emulate her Hero { Mother Teresa }. There is nobility in the ranks of Acting. One need seek it out however.
Oops!... Reporter mistakes impersonator for Christopher Walken Sun, Nov 20, 2011 - An Associated Press (AP) reporter mistook an impersonator of actor Christopher Walken on a sports-talk radio program on Friday for Walken himself, leading the news cooperative to include comments mistakenly attributed to the actor in its coverage of the Natalie Wood death investigation.
There must be some really substantial developments in the case if they reopened it. Hopefully the truth comes out.
Paul Newman was one of the best actors, but also one of the best MEN in Hollywood. Married to Woodward for decades, never heard any smut about him and better yet - his Hole in the Wall Gang charity for needy kids all over.
I saw something about this.They showed a guy with long gray hair who might have been Walken { was aboard Robert Wagners Yacht that fatal night, drinking and had an argument with Wagner over Hollywood and how to pick parts } wearing a tan sports jacket and rambling on about something.It may have been Walken from an earlier interview. Supposedly the scuttlebutt has Walken and Wagner fighting aboard Robert's Yacht as Natalie was kinda schmoozing up to Walken. Maybe to make hubby Robert ticked off.Later that evening as Wagner and Walken continued their arguments,Natalie snuck aboard a dinghy from the yacht { around midnight } and vanished.They didn't find her body till the morning.The row paddles from the dinghy weren't used.Natalie had a lifelong fear of water.She also demonstrated a slight inclination towards suicide. Robert Wagner was also keen on playing the detective as his TV series proved - It Takes a Thief - and then - Hart to Hart -.
