I have smoked only a few kinds of marijuana, due to only really starting a few months ago, though I only do it once every few days (I wouldn't want to overly saturate my body lipids with lipid-attracted THC! That just temporarily increases tolerance and is a waste IMO).

Anyways. Most of my life I was brainwashed by people such as school teachers that marijuana was somehow immoral or wrong. Eventually I came to reason and tried it. The first time I got stoned was actually about two years ago with a few of my friends. It was shortly after I graduated highschool and they finally talked me into it.

It might have been the strain, or it might have been that I took about 11 hits, and coughed very hard each time (coughing seems to consistently coincide with being more strongly affected by marijuana, at least in my experience; maybe it somehow "knocks" the THC into one's bloodstream from the lungs? I dunno). They kept asking me to take more hits from the joints (they had two). Every time I thought I'd come closer to dying; the coughing was way worse even than when I tried a cigar and improperly smoked it (I don't do nicotine or tobacco, by the way).

After the last hit, everything seemed normal. I didn't know if this was normal or if somehow, I didn't hit the joint correctly.

    Until about a minute later.

It was almost like when you are laying down and are in the half-way stage of falling asleep, with your brain shutting down. When your mind is not yet quite unconscious, but idle and inactive, even if you are still faintly aware of the people and objects (in this case, a bonfire) in your surroundings.

Maybe a couple minutes later though (basically 3-4 minutes after my last hit), I somewhat returned to consciousness. I then realized that I was repeating nonsense sentence fragments; if I remember correctly, it was "no never purple death never" (I kept negating everything incoherently and saying "no, never" to everything). I also noticed I was uncontrollably rocking back and forth and shaking my head. I tried to say "ok I'm back", but couldn't. I couldn't even stop saying those words over and over or stop rocking and shaking my head. This went on for a few minutes, until my friends decided to get up and walk around.

I was able to control my body and get up eventually, and shortly after was able to stop spouting random words. But I still couldn't form sentences no matter how hard I tried. I also randomly picked up a chair, screamed and threw it, basically beyond my control (this was still outside).

I don't remember much else, but we got back inside a little bit afterwards. I layed down on the floor of Zac's basement and relaxed (we all did actually). This was when everything started seeming like a dream; I was losing consciousness again. I don't remember much about it, but I do still have a few memories, and my friends tell me that they never happened; they include Zac dancing on the floor and us all having a discussion about ancient aliens. They say I was tripping and that it never happened, but these both still seem like real memories today, although something isn't quite right about them; they seem weird, as though they were recalled from a dream. Which is strange, because I never fell asleep down there; it wasn't until a couple hours later upstairs that we cashed in for the night.

That was probably the most stoned I've ever been in my life. But I have a few more experiences; each different with different kinds of cannibas. Each time I got across a different strain of it, I noticed that if affected me in very different ways than any other strain. Each strain really is unique and thus you can't say "this or that is what being high/stoned on marijuana is like".

Anyways. A concise run down would be the following (part of why it's so concise is because I can't exactly recall them in much detail):

-the next time after that night that I smoked would have been the summer previous to this one with my bro and a girl from the apartment complex up at my mom's, who we were visiting (yes, my mother allowed us all to smoke weed in the guest room she let me and my bro have!). We all smoked her stuff for a few days straight. This stuff was fairly weak. It didn't make me lose control, and didn't have any of the effects that the first time I got blasted did.

But it did have a unique effect that no other breed I've ever smoked had, whatever exact breed of marijuana (I don't know) that it was: it made immediate memories repeat and distort; for example, when someone talked, their voice would repeat in my mind as though it were echoing in a canyon, and the image of their face would remain in my mind for a few seconds, becoming slightly distorted each time. It was kinda cool.

-the next few months would be met with sparing use (roughly 2-3 times a month) with my bro, and it was all the same breed I believe; not very strong and similar to the stuff we smoked in my mom's apartment. It was similar, only even weaker it seems. Meh.

Now...these last couple months have been very interesting. During that time, I've had 3 different breeds of marijuana. In the order that I've had them:

-"Grandaddy Kush", as they call it. This stuff was STRONG. The details of what it did to me are fading, but it made me focus intently and narrowly. I am a very short-attention kinda person (in fact it's taken a few hours to type all this out with all the distractions), yet I was able to sit down and watch the WHOLE new "Predators" movie, and it was awesome.

But that's not why I say it was so strong. I say that because it made my mind seem to boil; my whole perception was warped. It's as though my soul was being grabbed by the shoulders by God's strong hands, and shaken wildly. It's hard to describe; I went to bed and slept, and it seemed like the world was..boiling? Hard to describe.

Something totally unique to this stuff is that the NEXT day, AFTER I slept, I was STILL STONED!! That's never happened with any other breed I've had, ever. Not even the first time I smoked.

-"Purple kush". That's what they called it. This stuff was STRONG. It was unique for two reasons: 1. it was a big BODY high. It made my body, especially my chest, feel..tingly. And 2., it made me trip. It didn't do what the first time I smoked did to me; I was perfectly aware that I was kinda in fantasy land, and in fact, despite being so strong, my mind itself wasn't really that affected by this stuff.

I did it and a few minutes later, looking up at the clear sky with all it's stars, I began to create and imagine creatures from them. I imagined an enormous purple serpent whose eyes were two particularly noticeable stars that could be seen in that nights' sky, and went into fantasy land, describing how this monsterous beast tangled and dealt with several others, including the almighty Sun, who had hidden during the night so that it could rest, leaving noticeable the serpent's main ally, the Moon. I forget most of the details of this story.

-this very week (last time I smoked was 2 days ago), I had what was probably the STRONGEST strain I've had, ever, except perhaps the first strain I ever smoked. The grandaddy kush might have compared, but it was a totally different effect.

This stuff basically made me hallucinate cartoon characters. I saw a ridiculous looking mustached man with very long arms dancing wildly. I also, just like with the previous two strains I talked about, had a difficult time being coherent when talking. My thought process was also very distorted; I couldn't think worth a da*n. Overall however, these effects, with this strain, were so strong, that I'd say it had to have been either the strongest or maybe tied with second strongest strain I've ever had (the "grandaddy kush" and the first strain I ever smoked, whatever it was, despite both having unique effects that differed from this strain, had to have been roughly as strong).

Overall, I'd say that the strain I liked the most, would be the "purple kush" as they called it. It made my body and chest feel very light and tingly, and it also made me (I failed to mention this earlier) have a strange yet wonderful sense of optimism, unlike any other drug I've experienced. I felt as though everything in the world, and of course my personal life, were going perfectly and that no problems of any kind existed. It wasn't just that, though; it made me feel a sense of emotional bliss that I've never experienced, other than that time.

So, what have your experiences on marijuana been? What specific effects have different strains/breeds had on your mind and/or body and/or emotions?

AND WHY THE LIVING HOLY HELL ISN'T IT LEGAL?!?!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?

I gotta start experimenting with all different strains. However even a lot of the strong strains are generic and really similar to other strains. I just wanna try certain REALLY strong strains that would make even the strong stuff that I had look puny. Who knows what the living Hell it'd do!

Sounds like some male friend stripped in front of you while you were half asleep:party:

Best combo I've experienced was 2g of Jack Herer with half a bottle of Chateau de Fargues... I swear that hooker loved me deeply!

It's been a long time and I only smoked a few times, but from what I remember I felt kind of drunk and very happy. I never had any hallucinations or loss of bodily control as you've said you had.

It is not only different strains but when it is harvested. Late harvest yields buds heavy with resin. This is the type one usually gets if purchasing the substance because the resin adds weight and it is sold by weight.

High resin content causes a more 'heavy' high where the body is more affected.

Earlier harvests...(when the flowers are at their peak) will be a lighter high with more favorable mental acuity.

My first experiences with marijuana were giddy, mildly hallucinogenic, and mentally liberating. Over time, I developed a tolerance to it and the experience became more subdued and mentally contemplative and reflective. After a while, it was something I did when I was bored. Now, I don't smoke anymore because it's not that fun and I need to concentrate on getting into medical school.

The first few times I smoked caused uncontrollable fits of laughter for no apparent reason and extreme euphoria.

Now, after almost 10 years of smoking multiple times a day, and occasionally obscene amounts in a sitting (went through a qp with some friends in one day on 420/06), I get mild euphoria accompanied with pleasant satisfaction.

I've hallucinated on a number of substances...... never pot. The idea of hallucinations on marijuana seems odd to me. Makes me think whatever you smoked got laced with something.

Lately I've been getting more into edibles and hash. I think in the absence of all the extra plant material i get a much more clean and pleasant high.

Never cared about names of strains. Looking at it is a better way to.determine if its good then a name is. Jack herer/ sour diesel/ whatever can be just as (*)(*)(*)(*)ty as Mexican brick if the person growing it doesn't know what they're doing.

For sure. I just wanna know the tricks to properly growing it, for..rather obvious reasons lol.

Produce your own that way you don't have to pay for that which others produce. Good phrase to live by

You must've been doing a lot lol. It's only temporary tolerance; the THC already in your system sorta "blocks" incoming THC to some extent..until it's all flushed from your system. That takes a while if you have a lot in there.

It's not that fun, really. Well I mean, the "purple kush" stuff was actually pretty awesome, but everything else, I could quite easily do without.

About the plant? I know it's strong, if grown correctly. Probably stronger than anything I've had.

It's fun at first, but then it gets old. Just like every drug. I don't smoke anymore. It was a phase that I grew out of. I don't really do anything anymore other than drink. Which I'm actually working on quitting.

But I do support pot legalization. It has more in common with beer than crack. It's actually doing more harm than good right now by being illegal.

It makes some people feel better overall, though. And what's amazing is, it's one drug that you never get addicted to and never causes any health problems. You can get temporarily "immune"/tolerant to it, but that's only if you smoke a lot for a while; it's just because a lot of THC is in your system, which sortof blocks incoming THC to some extent. When all the THC is flushed out of your system, you're no longer immune/tolerant to it at all.

Which makes it unique; alcohol, dopamine-releasing drugs such as cocaine and meth, and DEFINITELY nicotine, are all drugs that permanently affect you if taken in large enough doses, and can KILL you.

The white widow smoked dope and then killed her husband. Jk....bad joke.

White Widow is powerful stuff. Premium tequila is easier on the body. :)

Legalization would have the salutory effect of defunding Mexican cartels. It's not safe to hike in some of the parks and forests in California because of the cartel's plantations.

Never smoked it, never would. People say it isn't harmful, but from your experience, it sounds to me like it is. Maybe it makes you feel on top of the world, but would I want you walking down the street like that? Hell no -you could fall into the path of oncoming traffic, for heavens sake!

If it's legal, it should be smoked in the home, nowhere else, and no one must exist their property until they are stone cold sober.

Naw, it never hurt me. But then the effects vary wildly depending on the breed and how well it was grown.

When I'm on it, I know that I have to restrain myself. That very first time I did it, my mind was bent but I still stayed quiet once I got inside with Zac's dad upstairs (that I remember). But I would never recommend driving or anything like that on it; it's not like you can do everything you normally do with the same competency, lol

I've never tried dope and never will. If you need a substance, whether it is alcohol or drugs, to feel good, then it's a sad state of affairs.

It doesn't necessarily make you feel "good" (it depends on the breed/quality though), it's just fun. I always liked the idea of psychedelics (which marijuana is), because it's..a different experience.

I smoked it in High School pretty regularly. To me a high felt like being in a strobe light---where people seem to walk in slow motion.

I had two hallucinating experiences---both very bad.

By the time I left High School the stuff repulsed me but I seemed to go into "natural" highs in stressful situations for a few years afterwards. It took quite a while to feel "right".
