NOw that DADT has been lifted, let's see if the gays will be focused on serving the country or just having sex and getting married while IN the military. Never know what next ridiculous move the GM is planning next to undermine the country. It's obvious they didn't fight this DADT to be able to actually fight. think about it. the military is a MASCULINE occupation. they just did this to say "we did it, we broke down a barrier". absurd

what's the purpose? Gays join a mostly MASCULINE outfit to prove they could. how much of a undermine can you get?

 

I can't wait for the first time a gay soldier pushes up on one of the straight soldiers and gets his lights punched out. awesome if they film it too.

 

Question remains...why would gay men who want to feminine, join a predominately masculine organization?

Only valid answer is to find a male mate. because we all know they're not there to be actual soldiers. and they don't plan to fight.

Not all gay men are feminine. Why would women, who are predominately feminine want to join a masculine organization like the military? Thousands join every year you know.

I was against repealing DADT since Day One, but now that the repeal has passed, I consider this argument over. It would take a serious amount of bureaucracy, even more than what President Clinton provided, to get the repeal turned around. Especially in this day and age; homosexuality is a lot more widely accepted than it was in 1993. I'm not saying that I like the repeal decision, because I don't, but there's really no point in arguing about it anymore.

Look at it this way, at least the washouts can't use homosexuality as an excuse to get discharged anymore. Now the malingerers will have to come up with a new excuse. Bestiality, perhaps?

 

true indeed. they used that excuse a lot when all the wars jumped off. now they gotta get in the trenches and keep their minds on war and not sex.

 

As one of the newest members of the United States Army...I have to say I didn't care before I joined, and I somehow care less now. I went to basic with gay people, and I'm here in Arizona with gay people. As long as they can do their job, I don't care what they do in their personal time, and why people that have no idea how the military is even run have an opinion on this is beyond me..
