Barry, I hate to break it to you, but you already spent more than the Bush tax cuts in just one year.......Result: Unemployment only got under 9% for 2 months. Your joking....right. You trillions in debt have already caused our credit to be downgraded, are you trying for AA? You and your Democrat pals has 2 years of total control and 1 year of 2/3rds control to turn the economy around and increased the debt $4 trillion in the process. Where are we now, still sitting where we bottomed out. A half a billion dollars to one "Green Energy" company who bellied up with 4 others and another 5 apparently on the way. Can you spell LOSER?

Why don't you at least offer an opinion. Saying that Obama is responsible for the economy is like saying Obama was responsible for the invasion of Afganistand and Iraq.

 

Why not? Obama is taking credit for the killing of Osama Bin Laden and the Surge in Iraq being so successful. Why not make him responsible for both wars as well?

If the recovery had have been managed with more competence we would not even be having this conversation. Though I guess the exposure of the rotting structure that is the EU from this latest downturn still would have happened. He can't be blamed for that but he needs to do more to address the fundamental structural flaws in the US economy.

If you're going to pour money into the economy with stimulus it won't do much good if you have not fixed the leak. In the all important first year there was too much focus on healthcare, while I'm an advocate of it I do not believe it was the time or place. The focus needed to be on the economy because this recovery is taking much longer previous recoveries; even a year ago it was overdue and the blame game or fear mongering is not helping the situation. The current political reality requires both parties to work together and they need to start doing this soon.

 

You have selective amnesia. You forget that it was the GOP that got the balanced budget. You forget that it was the Dems that said everything was fine in the housing market that Fanny/freddy was causing a bubble for. Hell, you even for get who was against freeing slaves, ending jim crow, desegrigation, for civil rights.

 

Really? I don't think we can be any more crippled as a nation than we are right now. That is of course unless Obama wins another term.

 

So if spending didn't work under Bush, why would the "smartest president we ever had", spend even more?

 

Let me bottom line it for ya. Obama spent in 1 year more than all the years of the Bush tax cuts. If Bush wrecked the economy with that spending, then Obama took it out in the woods and shot it between the eyes with his.
