    A wise man once said
be warned daft.. you are traveling a road that will end in an inpenetrable wall of bricks made of shallow thinking and held together by a super strong mortar of narcissism and anecdotes.

North Dakota and portions of South Dakota and Montana. The Mid-Atlantic, North Atlantic and the entire coast of the California-Oregon area.Alaska's St. George Basin, Shumagin Area, Gulf of Alaska, Chukchi Sea and Beaufort Sea just to name a few.

The United States has proven to be sitting on 21 Billion Barrels of Oil in our country alone. Are we drilling any of it? Nope. These reserves are mostly untouched simply because it's illegal for us to to drill.

And I haven't even mentioned places in Ethiopia, Jordan, New Zealand which have yet to be drilled.

Hardly. Even at this point in time we discover we haven't even scratched the surface.

Yep, that's a nice graph and all but they were wrong in 1919 when they said that there was only 20 years remaining. They were wrong when the Federal Oil Conservation Board estimated 4.5 billion barrels remain in 1926. They were wrong when they in 1944 when Petroleum Administrator for War estimated 20 billion barrelsof oil remain. They were wrong in 1956 when M.King Hubbard predicted that we would have peak oil production by 1970. And finally they were wrong in 2008 when your "Geologist" said that we are approaching our peak when in fact we have 1.3 Trillion of oil reserves on earth "proven." Not to mention proven oil reserves are not the measure of the future supply of oil.

We have oil in many places we haven't even started drilling. The Geologist were wrong in 1919, 1944, 1956, 1970 and finally most recently 2008. Why should we anyone believe with all the technology improving making it easier for people to use less and less oil than ever before that we are running out of oil? If Oil reserve predictors can be so wrong so often, why can't they be wrong about this? Why because they have fancier graphs of course and that's pretty much the only thing you pay attention to.

How about if I apply oil reserves to taxes? Would that be okay?

Rightys are and consumed with their greed for removing them before they ever get any possessions, for the sake of MORE for themselves. Profit. Corporate crime and all those "How's your portfolio?" 3 martini lunches.

Once again you are completely wrong. Rightys, conservatives, businessmen, whatever misnomer you wish to use to salve your jealousy, don't care one bit about taking anything from anyone except market share from their competitors.
Seeking out, and working your ass off to accumulate more for oneself has nothing to do with not wanting anyone else to succeed. I did well in my life, not as well as I'd have liked, but much better than all but a few. And ANYONE that succeeds takes nothing from me. More power to them. Not once for one instant did I ever think about TAKING anything from anyone. Earning more business than my competitors, YES,YES, YES. Doing anything to hurt a poor person or a worker,,,,,,,WHY would I have those thoughts. In business one is too busy to be scheming to take from those who have little. WHERE is the PROFIT in that?

That may be how it seems to you, but do you ever consider what someone you do business with is doing to meet your demand for lower prices, lower costs, etc. It is all abstract business competition to you but every move you make has real world implications. Your blithe disregard for these considerations as you concentrate only on what is best for Dan40 and maybe a few of the people close to you is the problem, not a problem or some problem, but the problem.

Maybe you are not taking anything from anyone directly, but that is not the point. The point is what are you doing to make the world a better place for everyone? While it is true that this is not a zero sum game it is also true that not all wealth accumulation comes at no expense to others.

Of course, you could be one of the psychopaths who does not believe in anything but your own personal achievement and considers the world a better place only because they have a bigger piece of it but why then did you go to Vietnam, twice?

To kill people, how many chances does one get to do that legally?

And the other point is, you don't know diddly crap about how a business is run. I know liberals think we all sit around trying to find new blood to drink but what we actually do is try to be the best we can be 24/7.

The rich need to pay a lot more taxes to help the middle class and the poor. We need European/Canadian style socialism.

Unless any of you people are millionaires, why do you care?

Creating and then maintaining a cheap labor pool is essential to corporate America today. Labor is always the first thing on the chopping block. Why? Profit. Plain and simple. Businesses don't look at anything else but profit today, sorry Bud. That's the deal today. Profit is all that matters, and people, unfortunately, are an inescapable interference with that ideology. TAKE. TODAY. The Hell with tomorrow...it costs too much, and profits too little. Greed brother...it's everywhere, and it's been renamed "business".

A lot of individual human beings who are very wealthy... do NOT want the words you are sharing to be considered and take hold. Even so, you are so very correct about these things.

People like you disgust me. I have absolutely no desire for anyone's possessions, I'm not a shallow, money hungry, do anything for a dollar, capitalist who is hell bent on destroying the world and most of the rich are looking for ways out. Booking space journeys, filling cryogenic tanks, investing in cloning, anything to find the elixir of youth.

Look at some of the fantastic proposals put up by your side.

1: Mining to the core of the earth, good idea if we want Iron at around 5000 to 7000 degrees Celsius, oh and Miss Jonelyn, diamonds melt at 3550 so you had better look for another drill.

2: If we have a shortage of any materials, we just drop the price and we will miraculously get more materials.

3: If we charge too much for water it will disappear.

4: We can all come to Australia and eat rabbits.

5: Really we just need to go in our carefree way and it will all be alright, that's what capitalism is all about.

LOOK isn't there someone I can bribe to have this thread closed lol, I have money to make.

Do you know that the main reason for the US's giant meth amphetamine problem was fuelled by the manufacturers of pseudo epinephrine products lobbying the US senate to fight the restrictions on it's dispensing.

How many of your children died so the pharmaceutical companies could get that "illegal drug money".

There is more criminals in the business world then in the prisons.

God will be pressing the "reset" button soon so, all this corporate crime is moot, and I'm sure God doesn't accept bonuses or stock options. AWWWWWWW.

Something's off. The GDP in 2010 was $14,526.5, how can personal income be only $2Trillion lower than our total GDP?

Actually a little bit past 70. And I looked up "pathetic," Why was your picture there?

You might try looking up, "Sense of Humor." Its what one uses when another asks a question so incredibly stupid as. "Why did you volunteer for Vietnam."

But then liberals are infamous for their lack of humor and logic.
