I want to know what people would do as president...Policies they would back, Executive Orders they would make, ect.....'

    Here are mine...

1; I would abolish all federal "Resort" resort prisons, and in their place, build a number of normal prisons to hold rich criminals. I don't think it's fair to use federal tax money to make sure that CEO's and Billionares can play golf after they get arrested for Federal Crimes.

2; I would make an Executive Order, creating a new branch of the Peace Corps, dedicated to helping people domestically and not just abroad. This new branch would work with Doctors With Border, the Red Cross and other charities to help poor and out of work americans.

3; I would support an change to the first ammendment, making it illegal for a news venue (tv news, newspaper, internet news, ect) to purposely alter facts and statistics to fit their political views. Any venue who markets themselves as news would be bound by this change, and attempts to alter facts, editting videos to play them out of context, for example, would be met with fines.

4; I would bring home all troops in Iraq, leaving a small Advisory Force, to help with the training of Iraqi forces.

5; I would support the construction of a nationwide high speed rail system. The railways, stations, and depos would be owned and operated by the federal and state governments. The trains would be operated by private companies. This would serve two purposes..
A; It would create a number of public and private sector jobs
B; It would create a cheaper alternative to air travel.

6; I would give Tax breaks to all small and medium sized businesses who hire workers. These breaks would include tax deductions for training costs and a $1000 credit for every worker hired.

7; I would make it a federal crime to hire an illegal immigrant. A company who is caught paying illegals under the table would be fined $10,000 per offense. I would also offer amnesty to all illegals, provided they leave the country for a period of 1 year, before being able to come back and receive a green card. I would make learning conversational english a requirement for a green card and citizenship. All illegals would also be required to pay back taxes before being allowed to come back to America. The amount of back taxes would be determined by multiplying the average yearly taxes for the average wage for an illegal immigrant by the number of years the illegal immigrant has been living in America.

8; I would abolish the federal prohibition of all drugs, leaving their regulation up to the states. I would give a federal pardon to all non-violent offenders who were arrested for posession of mirajuana.

9; I would call for and support the use of the RICO Act to charge the Roman Catholic Church for aiding and abedding criminals and obstruction of justice for the protection of known child molesters. I would call for the FBI place all preists who are known to have molested children and those within the catholic church who aided in their relocation or had prior knowledge of these crimes, under federal arrest. I would also call for all members of the catholic church outside of the US who are known to have molested children or aiding those who have as Persona Non Grada, effectively banning them from entry to the US.

10; I would cut off all drug addicts who refuse to enter a rahab program from receiving federal aid. They would lose all welfare benefits aside from the ones, such as WIC, which as meant to help children. However, it will be a federal crime for any money given to an addict through WIC and other child based programs to be used for anything not related to the child and they will be audited weekly on how they used the money.

11; I would support a law that says the government can not show favoritism to certain energy industries. Green Energy companies like solar and wind power providers must be given the same subsidies as the oil and coal industries, or none of them get them.

12; I would abolish the DEA and reorganize it into a Drug Enforcement Department within the FBI. The DED would be responsible for regulation of interstate drug transportation and other drug related issues that involve more than 1 state.

13; I make it a law that all guns must have their ballistic markings recorded at the factories and kept on file with federal, state, and local law enforcement, along with the ownership records. This will mean that any shells and bullets found in a crime scene can be traced back to the gun and owner of the gun.

14; I would support a amendment that defines marriage as a union between two or more human beings who are at or over the age of consent.

15; I would support a new federal law that makes it illegal to send fake ballots to voters. This law would be an answer to the number of ballots sent by the Koch brothers to democrat voters, during the redo elections in Wisconson. These ballots had a false due date, which was two days after the actual election and a false adress. This law would only be in effect in elections that include federal offices.

    Nice system.

    With my presidential hat on:

I would do two things if I was president:

Privatize private corproations from sucking off the government and the taxpayer.

Privatize public schools but have government enforced regulations on standards.

Hence these two things would change the USA to make it smarter, and more wealthy so that States within the USA will be free of debt and be able to do real projects their whole state can benifit from.

I agree with cutting off corporations from government aid.

The problem with your idea about schools is that the far righters want the schools to be 100% private with the schools being allowed to refuse education.....Basicaly they want education to be reserved for those who have the money to go to private schools and public education to be abolished.....

I would also lift the trade embargo against Cuba and sign a treaty with them to allow the US access to the oil in Cuban waters.

And also, make harsher punishments for both foriegn and american companies who cut corners in safety and enviromental protection protocols in order to prevent what BP did to the Gulf of Mexico from happening again.

I would resign. I'm no more qualified to be president the the current nitwit in the White House. The difference is, I'm bright enough to know it and I'm not a true believer with a faith to guide me.

    Yes

Not sure. Charitable, private organizations should be able to do whatever they choose to do.
But perhaps stopping foreign aid would help?

    No, absolutely not.
It should be up to the consumer to decide what's right and wrong. What you are proposing is too close to mind control.
I agree, news should be reported as FACTS, nothing added, nothing taken away, and any discussion thereof should have the disclaimer of editorial/opinion. But don't mess with our freedom of speech/of the press.

    Bring them home from everywhere.

Good idea perhaps for cities, but has no use for rural communities.

Tax breaks for all in country businesses for hiring, and incentives for not outsourcing, while addressing imports.

Needs a bit more thought, but basically a good start. We also need to visit the abuse of anchor baby stipulation.

    Absolutely.

Don't let the RCC get away with harboring/supporting illegals either.

Work programs for those who otherwise wouldn't be hired might be a great idea.
Your idea is a good one, not sure how it would work though.

Yes, along with closing tax loopholes.
I am a bit baffled with the promotion of outsourceable energies, while we don't promote domestic energy, until alternatives become more readily available and feasible for all.

The FBI needs some serious oversight. Lots of waste going on.

No it can't. For one, ballistics can be altered by anyone.
Also, guns already in the market (assuming ballistic recording would work) would become a sought after commodity.

Marriage=one man, one woman, if sanctioned by church/God
    Union/marriage=outside church

Federal elections should be addressed, nationwide. Primary elections one the same day, t/o the nation, either open primaries for all, or none.
All other elections should be addressed by the state.

No, he didn't. But you knew that. But, President Obama did say he was going to destroy America so he could resurrect it as a socialist utopia with himself as the Dear Leader. No, he didn't. But, I knew that, too.

I was lying. What were you doing?

While I agree with you about the country club aspect, I disagree with the "normal prison" aspect. I'd put the country club prisoners into regular minimum security prisons. Meaning, no real worries about security (which costs money).

    Americorps. Read more about it.

That is very subjective. Who judges the objectivity of the news organizations? Sounds like a start of tyranny.

That has been in process for years. It's easier said than done. Without a critical mass of soldiers there, that Advisory force is cannon fodder.

Every high speed rail that actually has been built has not proven to be cheap or effective. The Chinese are currently having major troubles with theirs.

    Corruption, corruption, corruption.

    Unworkable.

Can't give a federal pardon to those convicted of state offenses.

I love the way you try to increase presidential powers.

The costs of the audits will be way more than the costs of giving drug addicts welfare money.

Oil and coal aren't given subsidies that other businesses aren't.

    No real change there.

Except for the illegal guns. Also, I could change the ballistics characteristics of all my guns in about 10 minutes with a $5 file (a tool that you use to smooth or roughen metal). All that would do would be stop a few stupid criminals, and cost a lot of money. Do you realize how elaborate that database would have to be.

Evidence for the above. I think that is all illegal anyway.

As if they would ever let at the oil in their waters. Are you seriously that deluded?
(I don't believe the trade embargo hurts Cuba that much, so that part I agree with).

You can't stop negligence. You can reduce the incidence of it, and make it painful for those that are negligent, but you aren't going to stop it.

    1. I would reduce the taxes on the lesser off and increase the taxes on the rich. Something just tells me that an athlete does not need $65,000,000 a year to chase a leather ball around.
That money would be much better spent treating a a cancer condition.

    2. I would reduce some gun control and increase some. Some portions of the 1986 NFA would be removed, background checks would be required for all firearms transactions at all gun shows (at the time this is a state issue), and a national CCW bill would be proposed. However the requirements would be rather strict. The applicants would have to demonstrate proficiency with their weapons, and not just sit in a two hour no-live fire class. How unreasonable.

    3. Separation of church and state. Laws made on the premise of religion would be null and void. I want to see cause and effect and evidence based legislation. Gay marriage would be federally recognized.

    4. Reduce the restrictions on certain drugs. The softer ones like pot or shrooms would be regulated, and the rest would probably remain as they are now.

    5. The right winger would hate me.

    6. Probably do my best not to get assassinated by the crazed Christian right throwing fits over my policies.

    7. Groups condoning the deaths of innocents would be legally responsible for their doctrine and teachings.

    8. Gang member tags would be issued, $50 for each gang member turned in.

    9. The death penalty would be reserved for the most extreme cases. Texas will hate me.

    10. Illegal immigrants would be removed from the country and given the opportunity to apply for a visa.

    11. Teach the word of Maynard

    12. Axis and Allies will become the nations official pass time.

    13. Politicians would be held far more legally responsible for the content in their campaign ads.

    14. A cap on campaign spending would be placed.

    15. Fix the schools. Encourage critical thinking. Glorify the members of society who deserve such.

*some of this is tongue and cheek, most of it is serious*

You and me both could beat Obama in bowling..
    and just about anything else.

    Qualified?
In my humble opinion no one short of a governor or mayor of a LARGE city or state is qualified.

Being a congress person from a safe district shows nothing except you were successful in buying votes using pork.

What's next ..Al Franken for President ?

If a new venue is allowed to alter facts, they can decide what facts the consumers are allowed to know. A consumer can not make a sound logical decision if they do not know all of the facts.

Possession of mirajuana is a federal crime, therefore, the President has the power to parden anyone arrested for it.

What I would do(in no particular order):

    1. Remove most taxes except for sales tax. The sales tax would have to be raised but it would be set at a level where the average American will pay approximately the same as they did before.

    2. Remove the electoral college. If person a gets the majority of votes then they win.

    3. Combine the FBI, DEA, ATF, TSA and other such law enforcement agencies

    4. Combine CIA and HomeLand Security into one intelligence agency that can work domestically and internationally

    5. Slowly get people off social security and later privatize it.

    6. Limit/remove most entitlement programs.

    7. Add about 50 drones at the border who are allowed to shoot illegals crossing the border

    8. Finish the fence at the border (both Mexico and Canada borders)

    9. Make abortion murder

    10. Abolish the death penalty except for extreme cases

    11. Leave the UN (and no longer have it in NY)

    12. Stop aiding so many countries with their problems until we get back on track

    13. Add term limit like program at local, state and federal levels. Being in the house gives x amount of points, being in the senate gives x amount of points etc. Once you reach the max amount of points you must go to another level or discontinue your public service.

    14. No favoritism for companies. No companies get bonuses for doing anything.

    15. Get rid of ObamaCare but keep the good parts such as kids can stay on until they are 26 and you cannot be denied insurance because of preexisting conditions.

    (1) Close down the EPA
    (2) Close down the DOE
    (3) Repeal the Patriot Act.
    (4) Repeal ObamaCare
    (5) Pass an amendment that says socialism is not allowed in America, any form of it.
    (6) Close down the IRS
    (7) Close down the Federal Reserve
(8.) Close SS by cutting younger people off, and put them on something else.
    (9) Pass an amendment that Limits FED spending to 18% of GDP
    (10) Back out of the UN and sell the building.
    (11) Then I would go on a Communist, Marxist, Socialist, Progressive witch hunt and imprison any
government official that has been involved in talking about or pushing Marxist or socialist values.

1; You do realize that the only power that America has internationally comes from the fact that it's a member of the UN Security Council right?

2; Special Interest groups and lobbyist will never allow the electoral college to be abolished.....The fact that they just have to pay off a few "Super Delegates" is the only reason that the EC even exists. So they will make sure it stays in place.

3; I say abolish all government insurance programs and simply have an option tax that people can pay into to and use that tax to fund federal and state owned hospitals. These hospitals would be non-profit. People would have the option of paying the tax and using public healthcare or paying insurance companies and using public healthcare.

We don't need the UN telling us what we can and can't do. They are trying to be the police of the world and force countries to follow them.

So what happens when the legitimate, objective facts do not coincide with popular opinion?

Like suppose hypothetically that medical science proved that homosexuality was not inborn. Do you show the people something uncomfortable and create an angry current of "progressive" hostility? Or do you subvert the facts in order to maintain the popular narrative?

I know what you claim you would do. What I'm asking is what you would honestly do.
