US Has More Serious Problems Than Europe: Jim Rogers By Deepanshu Bagchee True. What people don't realize is that European politicians are standing up against "the system", What I mean by this is that we won't do what the Americons did: bail-out their banker friends. The foundation of a free-market economy is to take personal responsibility. European decision-making -- a clash of ideas -- is slow but it allows fierce debate. This is good to ensure the best possible solution. Instead of "hasty, hasty, crappy" decisions -- see USA.
No, you won't bail them out because Germany and other large countries don't want to have to foot the bill for smaller unstable ones. It's as simple as that.
Janpor is right. The EU is totally socialist, has zero corruption like the old USSR, and they should just maintain the course.
Corruption is a big problem in Europe. Italy is famous for it, both politics, police force, everything. Even Sweden have lately had a dose of it. Of course, it's not close to a tenth of America's.
Time for Europeans to WAKE UP!!!!! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC19fEqR5bA&feature=topvideos_mp"]Trader on the BBC says Eurozone Market will crash - YouTube[/ame]
It's hard to agree with that. The US is actually painfully slow at making decisions by design, and that is actually our biggest problem today. If we ever get hasty, it's because our system takes us to the last second to get anything done.
european countries already did bail out their banks during the credit crunch 2 yrs ago. we did this when america and many other countries worldwide did. thats half the reason we all have deficits. the EU has plenty of corruption. by 2007 the EU's own auditors had refused to approve the accounts of the EU for 13 years in a row! EU politicians are totally system orientated, as they are putting the ideology of the United States of Europe - a political idea - before economic sense. in the way they rigged the books (more corruption) and broke their own entrance rules when they let greece join the euro, and why now they are bankrupting themselves to instead of letting greece leave the euro and sort themselves out independantly. and the Eu isnt socialist, it was created as a a big business and global capitalism institution. thats why all the big corps were in favour of the Euro, even the british ones, despite most politicians and nearly all the population opposing it.
Maybe. But the potential for real disaster is greater in the EU if the currency zone breaks up. Europe has been relatively calm politically since WW2 but what lingers below the surface could cause havoc if nationalistic impulses are not contained by the various institutions that hold the EU together. As well as fiscal problems, there are signs of fractures in the Schengen agreement, and in NATO.
Welcome to the beginnings of WWIII, we all know it's coming, it's just a matter of when. The U.S. doesn't have problems like that my friend.
